This is an issue that is hot and getting hotter, as is our planet, unfortunately. Politically, it's dynamite. Gore had it right, more than a decade ago. He was way ahead of his time, almost all of us would have to admit.
Anyways, how will we solve it, or will we? Will the Democrats provide any leadership on this issue, or will we end up relying on Toyota and other Japanese companies to provide us with solutions (for which they will be amply compensatd with increased market share)?
And what will the solution be? Coal gasification? Nuclear? Drilling offshore, along the East and West (blue state) coasts?
Or, will we turn to wind power, solar power, and biodiesel, and other alternative energy sources (geothermal, wave power, hydroelectric, etc.)?
