From KITV.com
HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.
Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.
More details and updates as they become available
UPDATE: I know it's tempting for folks to wish this man ill right now. God only knows he's earned the Karma. But before you do, I want you to remember this.
HE WANTS YOU TO.
He welcomes it because:
a) The controversy feeds into is ego and validates everything he stands for - division, hate and negativity.
b) He and his ilk are looking forward to holding this over our heads for many, many years to come.
So kids, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
UPDATE #2
There is a report that Chris Cuomo is reporting Limbaugh is dead. THIS IS A FALSE REPORT BEING CIRCULATED ON TWITTER. Please do not retweet. There is no confirmation.
UPDATE #3
OK, if you can't stay silent, and you don't want to be nice, may I suggest at least being creative?
UPDATE #4

The Hawaii republican party says Limbaugh was in Kona on the Big Island two days ago.
No other information was available on his condition.
We'll have more information as it becomes available.
Not much in the way of information, but this apprears to be the first independent confirmation from a Hawaiian news org we have so far.
UPDATE #5
I have a single, unconfirmed report that Limbaugh's status has been downgraded from "serious" to "critical". THIS IS UNCONFIRMED. I will either provide links or take this update down, depending on further information.
UPDATE #6
I wanted to pluck this out of the comments.
Trust me, when you're lying in the hospital, barely clinging on to life, the last thing you're thinking about is your political enemies. I just got the news and I immediately said a prayer for Rush Limbaugh. I'm a devout christian. I don't care how much Rush hates me or anybody else in this world and especially here in my dkos home. As a follower of Christ it is incumbent upon me to obey the Lord and the Lord told me to pray for my enemies. I think it is safe to say that Rush fits into that category. It is my fervent prayer that he recovers with a change of heart towards his fellow brothers and sisters. If not, then I'll still keep loving Rush the man and opposing his politics of hate with all my power.
Remember kids, if nothing else, Karma's a bitch, and she doesn't take sides.

UPDATE #9
This will likely be my final update unless the situation changes considerably (It is New Year's Eve after all!)
According to reports, Limbaugh's condition hasn't changed much, although they state he's "resting comfortably". Oh that, and they pimp his website (always the capitalist, Rush. And no, I won't link.)
Popular talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh is recovering in a Honolulu hospital today, hours after being admitted for chest pains he suffered while on vacation. "Rush was admitted to and is resting comfortably in a Honolulu hospital today, after suffering chest pains," according to a statement from "The Rush Limbaugh Program."
"Rush appreciates your prayers and well wishes, and he will keep you updated via RushLimbaugh.com."
Limbaugh had been scheduled to return to his talk show Jan. 4 but a spokesman told ABC News that it is unclear whether he will be back by then.
Paramedics arrived at the Kahala Hotel and Resort at 2:41 p.m. Wednesday and found Limbaugh, 58, sitting in a chair in his ninth-floor hotel room, according to ABC's Honolulu affiliate KITV.
