Whereas House Republicans Pander

Apparently the revelation of President Obama's secret plot to destroy Christmas was the straw that broke the camel's back, because House Republicans will no longer sit back and allow heathens (and secular humanists) to spit on the reason for the season -- meet House Resolution 951:

Whereas Christmas is a national holiday celebrated on December 25; and

Whereas the Framers intended that the First Amendment of the Constitution, in prohibiting the establishment of religion, would not prohibit any mention of religion or reference to God in civic dialog: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the House of Representatives--

(1) recognizes the importance of the symbols and traditions of Christmas;

(2) strongly disapproves of attempts to ban references to Christmas; and

(3) expresses support for the use of these symbols and traditions by those who celebrate Christmas.

And (4) should read, and even though we've ranted against resolutions as a waste of time in the past, this is different because meaningless crap like this polls really well with teabaggers, idiots and viewers of the O'Reilly Factor (and yes, there is some overlap).
