In the past week I had a guest lecturer at Cornell come in and talk about global terrorism and civil liberties. The guy does polling for the military and other groups.
They did a poll last month of what American's think of the war on terror and Iraq. I can't remember all the questions and numbers, but some of them I do recall. The MOE of the poll was 3% and it had about 1200 respondants.
(60%) of Americans still believe that Iraq was either somewhat or strongly to blame for 911.
(56%) of Americans are willing to give up constitutionally protected rights if it makes them more secure.
(65%) still believe Bush is doing a good job on the War on Terror.
And, amazingly 62% of respondents believe that the rest of the world has a favorable opinion of the US.
