Call off the impeachment

Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee demanded a special prosecutor. The ranking Republican on the House Oversight and Government Reform committee called it "Obama's Watergate." Meanwhile, back in the land of reality, the whole story came out:

President Obama’s chief of staff used former President Bill Clinton as an intermediary to see if Representative Joe Sestak would drop out of a Senate primary if given a prominent, but unpaid, advisory position, people briefed on the matter said Friday.

Sestak said no, stayed in and won his primary race and will face Pat Toomey in November. End of story.

Unless of course Republicans want to continue to beat this dead horse ... how did Darrell Issa (R-CA) put it?

This may be the way business is done in Chicago, but it’s not the way things are done in our nation’s capitol [sic] and I am intent on getting to the bottom of this.

And we know how much Republicans hate "the Chicago way."
