AR-Sen: Who cares what labor does?

I don't get the DC establishment angst over this:

In a move that's likely to ratchet up already-white-hot post-Arkansas tensions between organized labor and the White House, officials with the labor powerhouse SEIU are confirming that they are all but certain not to back Blanche Lincoln in the general election.

OF COURSE they won't back Blanche! She spent the last two months railing about the evil unions. She didn't want them, didn't need them, and used Obama and Bill Clinton as surrogates to trash the union agenda. Good for her! She won! She's got better friends now, like the Chamber of Commerce and Americans for Job Security. They are much more popular! She doesn't need her old friends.

I'm sure those corporatist right-wing interests will run millions of dollars in ads supporting her, fighting to keep a Republican out of that seat. Right?
