The undercurrent of racism is, as always, going to be a factor in this year's elections.
And, ever since the late-1960s, the party peddling that undercurrent to white people has been the Republicans.
No different this year, as the Republican Fox News/wingnut radio promotion of the nothing-there Sherrod story proved.
The GOP is still smarting from the Sherrod backfire, so one of their no-name, not-ready-for-cable-time, white blonde bimbettes launches a lame counter-attack at Human Events.
Entitled "Obama: Slaves on the Government Plantation."
The no-name blonde essentially stenographed part of a Tea Party Express event that featured the wacky birther Alan Keyes.
As if anyone outside of the far-right micro-minority cares what that multiple-loser says about anything.
Wacky wingnut details, below.
The Tea Party Express (an astroturf outfit largely funded by wingnut white Californians) rented a room at the National Press Club to "fight back against attempts to discredit the tea party movement."
And for Keyes to say BS like this about Obama:
Why should I feel proud of someone who in fact wants to return this entire country to the condition in which my ancestors sadly found themselves.
Obama wants to make every American a slave!? And Keyes says that's a fact!?
Only a black wingnut-welfare guy could say that with a straight face, and get away with it.
There were other Uncle Tom types who live off wingnut-welfare there (Niger Innis, Lloyd Marcus, Star Parker, Herman Cain, Jesse Lee Peterson, etc., ad nauseam).
But Alan Keyes made the absurd comparison between half-a-loaf general welfare programs Obama has proposed to deal with the Great Recession and slavery.
Which evidently impressed the blonde bimbette, who did not note anything that the other Uncle Toms said in her Human Events column.
This TPE event was no doubt designed to promote the message that TPE, and the tea party movement in general, is not as racist as it seems.
Like many tea party events lately, it was another BIG FAIL.
