You know about the filibuster and the need for change.

And you know how it distorts accountability and the democratic process in the Congress.

And you know that ProgressiveCongress.org, CREDO Action, and Blue America are pitching in to help bring an end to the nonsense and get the Senate back to work.

And better still, you know that Daily Kos is joining the fight and asking you to be a part of it.

Maybe you're one of the thousands of users who've signed up for the Daily Kos action list and signed the petition.

And maybe you're the Democratic nominee for United States Senate from Kentucky!

And just to throw you another sentence that starts with "and," I'll add that the momentum isn't just online. It's in the "real" world, too:

The AFL-CIO calls on the Senate, when it convenes for the 112th Congress, to reform and democratize its procedures and rules. In the meantime, we will educate our members about the abuse of the filibuster and other Senate rules, join with other like-minded organizations in an effort to rally support for the reform of these rules, and use our political program to seek support from Senate candidates for a change in these rules.

That's just your basic, everyday largest federation of labor unions in the country. So we've got that going for us. Which is nice.

It's only going to grow from here. Let's keep it up. Join in on our first Daily Kos action to reform the Senate.
