<description>A quick look at FEMA&#x27;s own website at &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.fema.gov/news/event.fema?id=3455,&#x22;&#x3E;http://www.fema.gov/news/event.fema?id=3455,&#x3C;/a&#x3E; shows that, less than 24 hours after Hurricane Charley struck Florida last year, planes were on the way to Lakeland AFB, Florida, with supplies for the survivors.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;
Less than 24 hours!&#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;
So: &#x26;nbsp;Why was the Bush administration so tardy this time?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;
Could it be . . . political? &#x26;nbsp;Maybe that Bush was trying to impress the citizens of Florida, a swing state, in an election year?</description>
