<title>To all gutless Obamaistas</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/3/30/961703/-To-all-gutless-Obamaistas</link>
<description>
&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;ve been trumpeting Obama was a corporatist since late January 2009 based purely on the return of the Robert Rubin crowd and the dumping of the team that ran the 2008 campaign so beautifully. &#x26;nbsp;But that&#x27;s water under the bridge. &#x26;nbsp;I was right and you were wrong for continuing to make excuses, playing patsie to the GOP and buying into every single fascist idea the Right could come up with. &#x26;nbsp;But in the interest of fair play, I&#x27;m willing to coddle you wimps on more time.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;Even though you&#x27;re all scared shitless of the threat of a gov&#x27;t shutdown and are ready to be sodomized by the Tea Party one more time, I&#x27;d like to outline a few talking points which brave Dems should be using to respond to all of the assholes who blather that shutting down the Federal Government for a while might be a good thing.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;Now, don&#x27;t expect a econometric analysis, or a projection on the impact of different ways to close it all down as so many would like to do. &#x26;nbsp;Stop crying about how the elderly and the poor would be harmed and start thinking about the ways we can have the aristocrats hurt most from the threat of the shutdown.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>A Modest Proposal regarding Healthcare</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/7/26/758009/-A-Modest-Proposal-regarding-Healthcare</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Now that the healthcare debate has been reduced to arguing about how to extract an additional trillion dollars from the economy over the next decade in order to enrich the insurance industry and drug companies, I thought it timely to suggest a public campaign to inform the citizenry as to how other countries obtain better results with fewer resource.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>An alternative plan for universal health care</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/7/10/752150/-An-alternative-plan-for-universal-health-care</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;ve followed the battle for healthcare reform very carefully, but standing on the sidelines. &#x26;nbsp;I joined Harvard Community Health Plan in 1973 directly from Harvard Student Health Plan and have maintained my family membership continuously since even when we lived abroad and couldn&#x27;t use it. &#x26;nbsp;Some friends called that stupid and wasteful, but my wife was adamant that we had the best and we should keep it.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Is everyone here braindead?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/6/21/745298/-Is-everyone-here-braindead</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Surely there must be some Kossacks who are old enough to remember how to play political hardball. &#x26;nbsp;Stop saying Obama needs to talk to Harry Reid or have a private meeting with Bachus or Nelson or any of the rest of the obstructionists.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Look, the Republicans are irrelevant. &#x26;nbsp;The only enemies are within the Democratic Party. &#x26;nbsp;Embarass them just once in a way that will demonstrate just how much popular support POTUS has, and they&#x27;ll need to think twice about what their corporate masters are asking them to do. &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>A plea and a challenge</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/6/11/741300/-A-plea-and-a-challenge</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I must first apoligize for my lack of research and investigative reporting skills. &#x26;nbsp;All too frequently I depend upon my personal memories of political events which only exist as history to so many here.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I was a bit confused when this healthcare issue arose. &#x26;nbsp;I have enjoyed uninterrupted healthcare by some of the finest doctors in the world under a plan with low deductables, co-pays and full drug coverage. &#x26;nbsp;It is more expensive than most plans, but I always thought it necessary. &#x26;nbsp;Anyhow, I was unaware of the hellhole Americans who are lucky enough to have health insurance are placed in, let alone those victims without coverage. &#x26;nbsp;As I learned more, I became an passionate advocate for single payer.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Sorry for the verbiage, but I felt it necessary in order to frame my request....&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Dem Senators for usury!!</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/5/13/731226/-Dem-Senators-for-usury</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;m so outraged that it&#x27;s very difficult to write anything about the Democratic Senators who voted NAY to the amendment to cap credit card interest at 15%!!&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;These are the flunkies of the bankers who need to be primaried. &#x26;nbsp;Forget the GOP, these are the whores that progressives should attack, today, tomorrow, and every day until they&#x27;re defeated or retired.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;The disgusting part is how many of these whores were supported by the netroots.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Sen. Durbin - &#x22; Banks Frankly Own the Place&#x22;</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/4/29/726010/-Sen-Durbin-Banks-Frankly-Own-the-Place</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;From the Huffington Post &#x26;nbsp;&#x22;Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) has been battling the banks the last few weeks in an effort to get 60 votes lined up for bankruptcy reform. He&#x27;s losing.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;On Monday night in an interview with a radio host back home, he came to a stark conclusion: the banks own the Senate.&#x22;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>&#x22;Executive Experience&#x22; My Ass</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/1/582488/--Executive-Experience-My-Ass</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;If they get the lie out soon enough, and have it repeated often enough, these Rovians operate under the assumption that the American voter is too stupid to remember anything from American History.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Let&#x27;s review the Executive Experience of the Presidents in the last half of the 20th century in order to determine the bullshit lie they are spouting:&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>A Note to Louisiana&#x27;s Parents</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/6/29/543706/-A-Note-to-Louisiana-s-Parents</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;So, I see your state government has finally done it...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;Louisiana&#x27;s Governor Bobby Jindal signed Senate Bill 733 into law, 27 years after the state passed its Balance Treatment for Evolution-Science and Creation-Science Act ... Jindal&#x27;s approval of the bill was buried in a press release issued on June 25, 2008 ...Houma Today reports (June 27, 2008) that the bill &#x22;will empower educators to pull religious beliefs into topics like evolution, cloning and global warming by introducing supplemental materials.&#x22;
&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;m not here to comment on the legal issues raised by this law. &#x26;nbsp;I&#x27;m not even commenting on the science behind such an incredible law...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Musings on Same Sex Marriage</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/23/521543/-Musings-on-Same-Sex-Marriage</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Brain Teaser 1.... A young couple misses closing time at the County Clerk&#x27;s office on a Friday afternoon to sign and pick up their marriage license, but go ahead with the religious ceremony, complete with exchange of vows, and a big reception Saturday night. &#x26;nbsp;The groom gets very, very drunk, wanders into the parking lot and is struck and killed by the caterer&#x27;s truck. &#x26;nbsp;Is the bride a widow? &#x26;nbsp;But more importantly, does she collect his life insurance and his Social Security death benefits?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>How to show our disgust</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/12/10/420348/-How-to-show-our-disgust</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;It seems many of us have reached a point of near total frustration, and yet we have no ideas as to how to express it. &#x26;nbsp;March-ins and sit-ins are passe, and given the current nature of &#x22;homeland security&#x22; they&#x27;re potentially pretty dangerous. &#x26;nbsp;The powers that be get wind of any demonstration, and without a permit, the helmets,batons and water cannon show up in full force. &#x26;nbsp;Nah, we need something that shows our creativity to the entire world.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Thinking about Iraq after we withdraw</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/2/27/306363/-Thinking-about-Iraq-after-we-withdraw</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;This is my first diary. &#x26;nbsp;Though I&#x27;ve been lurking here since 2003 and went to Yearly Kos in Las Vegas, I&#x27;ve never felt compelled to diary, leaving that to others with more commitment.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;However, I&#x27;ve now got an idea that won&#x27;t go away, and I&#x27;d like to get comments and critique. &#x26;nbsp;But a bit of background.....&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;When America left Vietnam, we did so with bitterness and shame. &#x26;nbsp;Those of us who fought there were ashamed of how badly we had fucked that country over, physically, economically and psychologically. &#x26;nbsp;The chickenhawks were bitter that we hadn&#x27;t &#x22;finished the job&#x22;, probably because we didn&#x27;t nuke Hanoi and Haiphong. &#x26;nbsp;But both groups worked hard to ignore and punish Vietnam for having the audacity to defeat us.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
