It shows the attitude and direction the presidential candidates want to go. Bush gained the favor of very powerful people for picking Cheney, Clinton rounded the new democrat message with Gore, and Reagan gained intelligence credentials with H.W Bush. Obama is changing the democrat message and the Democrat Party with the Vice President pick of Biden.
