<title>WHO ARE THEY? TAX CUT DEFEAT IS IN THE HOUSE</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2017/12/1/1720335/-WHO-ARE-THEY-TAX-CUT-DEFEAT-IS-IN-THE-HOUSE</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;This is NOT really an investigative, heavily cited diary, but I am asking a VERY important question. &#x3C;strong&#x3E;Who are They?&#x3C;/strong&#x3E; All this drama in the Senate is nauseating. First, these whoring Senators (any gender) will do anything to be courted by the camera and be chased after by reporters to be asked what their vote is going to be. They tease, tease, and tease, and rarely demonstrate any moral courage. Moderate Senate republicans collapse 99 times out of 100 on any real vote of substance.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;And let&#x2019;s not forget, &#x3C;strong&#x3E;every one these loathsome Senate Republicans&#x3C;/strong&#x3E; (in office at the time of course) voted to deny Obama a Supreme Court Justice and were more than happy to break the Senate rules to do so. They cheated twice and obviously did not bat an eye.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;For every &#x2018;do good&#x2019; vote Collins or Murkowski or McCain casts, they are mostly still just loathsome Republicans. Murkowski and Collins (and all the other GOP Senate stooges &#x2014; newly elected or not) are secretly fearful they might lose their precious Senate Committee assignments (doesn&#x2019;t Lisa chair Energy?) or the ridiculous Subcommittees they get to chair. And now that Regular Order is bogus, all Senators should be allowed to vote by internet from home and never have come to Washington. They can even vote in their jammies if they like&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;And McCain? He is mostly a fraud too. Not completely, but mostly. Any American who would put Sarah Palin just a pulse away from the Presidency and risk our nation to her babbling rule (wow&#x2026;..and then we get Trump 8 years later, my god) is not a Maverick but a dangerous opportunist.&#xA0; After the Keating Five, one Obamacare vote and one interruption to a racist Republican voter who really thought Obama was Muslim,&#xA0; is not going to save McCain&#x2019;s bio.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;But WHO ARE THEY? &#x3C;strong&#x3E;Can someone please identify who are these House Republicans from Blue and Purple states who voted for the Tax Bill? &#x3C;/strong&#x3E;This is where the highest odds for defeat of this bill lie. These fakes should be the targets of massive protest between now and Reconciliation and their last vote. I am writing this now (8:53pm) since my Twitter Feed does not indicate there has been a final Senate vote.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I say the House is the better bet by far to defeat this. We cannot wait for the Senate to act.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Can any Kossock identify these House Traitors? Playing up to these lying, pretentious Senators on TV &#x2014; who could have the &#x201C;ultimate trigger&#x22; &#x201C;final say&#x201D;, is more than I can tolerate.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;strong&#x3E;SO WHO ARE THEY?&#x3C;/strong&#x3E; Can I guess one is Kevin McCarthy of California?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>I defend Joe &#x26;amp; cry about lack of real DEM outrage</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2017/7/11/1679872/-I-defend-Joe-cry-about-lack-of-real-DEM-outrage</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Joe S may be an ex-politician, but he is GOP and he is throwing the mantle down. No other republican has this courage. Lindsay and John McCain are simply milk toast. THEY are chattering at the edges and I give them absolutely no credit for their puny comments. History will judge the GOP very harshly, not just for their inaction, but their hypocrisy. There really should be a WAVE election in 2018, but I am not convinced. I see no real OUTRAGE among the DEMS, just mini-me Outrage. &#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;You would think once Trump returned to these shores after &#x201C;G-19,&#x201D; they would have gone on 24/7 about the failure of his trip and the increasing marginalization of Trump and the USA on the world stage a la the Australian BBC reporter. There ought to be a House DEM news conference every single day to discuss the latest Trump et al. technical foul against our country. WHERE is the crap about Qatar and Jared or Eric Prince and attempts at War profiteering? I just cannot believe that &#x201C;letting them dig their own grave&#x201D; is a winning strategy. Where is the even modest complaint (or attempt at a explanation) about the depressed wage gap in the economy despite the Obama-continuing job numbers? Repubs out of power would have jumped on that. Or the stalled infrastructure plan to rebuild our roads and bridges. And the sneaky, sneaky attempts to pass Trumpcare in the dark of night in the next week? I will give them some points on healthcare, but mainly we hear from grass roots activists, not enough from our elected politicians who mostly sit in safe districts.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Most Americans don&#x2019;t follow any of this that much &#x2014; the DEMS must punch through this apathy and low attention span. I don&#x2019;t think I know anyone besides myself who is on Twitter in my Circle. I am not even optimistic about 2018. I read that piece about the horrific DNC controlled media handlers that hoarded the Ossoff money for his campaign. DEMS just do not know how to play hardball. Even Obama was pretty weak at this game. I have very little belief now that the Supreme Court is likely lost for the rest of my life unless some out of the universe bizarre circumstances arise.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Last, why does ANYONE report on Gorsuch unless they say in the same sentence &#x201C;he sits on a seat stolen by the Republicans, and who also cheated in the Senate to get him appointed.&#x201D; All the reporting I see, just says something like &#x201C;this is one of Trump&#x2019;s few victories...uhum&#x2026;.&#x201D; Count me downcast.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Hilary lost...Maybe her loss &#x22;saves&#x22;the DEM Party?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/12/21/1613507/-Maybe-a-Hilary-loss-in-the-end-will-help-maybe</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Hilary lost, but maybe out of her loss, she saves the DEM party&#x2026;..&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I have been distraught since Election Day. That night was like a Zombie nightmare. I think I have been physically ill for weeks, with my anxiety level and BP going up every day with some horrific new Trump news. My FaceBooks posts are out of control. My body, my brain just cannot keep up and process it all. But the feckless media, that&#x2019;s their job. They completely failed us. But they put money into their boss&#x2019;s pockets. Their jobs are probably secure now. But I was looking at the cover of the latest issue of &#x3C;em&#x3E;The Atlantic&#x3C;/em&#x3E; yesterday, where the remarkable Ta-Nehisi Coates (I am just discovering him) writes about the Obama presidency. But the contents of his article are not the chief reason for my diary today.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;It is the cover picture that is startling upon reconsideration. It is a black and white pic of a mob crowd of enthusiastic supporters swamping Obama in glee (maybe some even with ecstasy). Now, I must remind myself that Hilary still got almost 3 million more votes. But she could have gotten another million in California and New York and it would have not changed the outcome. Pouting over the EC is going nowhere. The compact of states to give all their electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote does have some merit. Once enough states to get to 270 Electoral Votes sign on, this will change the game. But I might be dead by then. With gerrymandering, &#x201C;cut the heart out of the beast&#x201D; desecration of the Voting Rights Act, and the preposterous regulation of voters by photography, something the Founding Father never imagined, it is a miracle that any Democrat can wake up any day and be optimistic. I&#x2019;ll keep the EC, you get rid of the damn discriminatory photo ID.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;But under Obama, and with all the incendiary GOP tactics, the Democratic Party has been demolished. Loss of Senate Seats, Loss of House Seats, even more historic Losses in State Houses and political offices across the country. Under Obama, for whatever reason, the Democratic Party has sunk, sunk, sunk. Only in certain geographic pockets do DEMS thrive. California could really leave the Union by boldly refusing to play ball at all with the Feds. They could literally ignore any directive by Trump and his caste of deplorables. Texas et al., has been threatening to do this for years, secede. Why not let California go first and really do it (maybe throwing in Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii for an additional stake in the federal heart)? Iraq may one day be split up (Biden wanted that and he was right), The Soviet Union broke&#x2026;.well no it didn&#x2019;t, it&#x2019;s back. But you know what I mean. Borders do change. The unlikely can suddenly be likely. Much of life turns on a dime anyway.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Deplorables. Yes, Hilary said it, probably shouldn&#x2019;t have, and then had to clean it up afterwards with only &#x201C;half were deplorable.&#x201D; Yes, she was being generous then, but Trump said and did far, far worse and rarely ever (no, never) paid any price for it. With all the Monday Morning Quarterbacking going on over the reasons for the Democratic loss, I don&#x2019;t see enough attention given to the impact of broad misogyny. I hear today that Trump got a majority of the white women&#x2019;s vote. How can that be? How can the first woman as a major party nominee, forget, White Woman Nominee in our nation&#x2019;s history, lose the white women&#x2019;s vote?&#xA0; To Donald J. Trump? How a woman can win the most votes and lose an election in the first place is another story altogether.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;But the point of my diary is that the DEMS have sunk so low as a party, maybe the answer to 8 years of Obama, even a loss by a hair, is a period of time when the nation finally might appreciate what Obama did. Or at least a greater percentage would, and that would ensure a win in 2018 and 2020 and so on. Only with the nation suddenly experiencing the ravages and wrath of complete GOP control and governance across the board, will the Jill Stein voters ask for penance, the Gary Johnson (what is Aleppo?) voters hang their heads in shame , and non-voters exposed, pointed out, confronted, and asked &#x201C;what are you complaining about?&#x201D;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I am a southerner by birth. I believe in a 50 state strategy. But there are large swaths of the country that are more Alt Right and authoritarian than democratic (small &#x201C;d&#x201D;) and we can&#x2019;t try and convert the clearly unconvertible. Resources can only be spread so thin. The brilliant Hilary Campaign (honestly, I had never even heard of Robby Mook before) put more resources in Arizona than Wisconsin remember. My point is that a percentage of Trump voters actually voted for Obama once or twice. They can be won back. Some others, why bother?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Deep in my soul, my heart is mostly broken at the sudden loss of the Supreme Court for a generation, unless something incredibly unpredictable happens (not impossible, a la Trump). For a moment, I thought my 55 years would finally see a Liberal Court to save us from our misery, inequality, and the ravages of Citizen&#x2019;s United etc., etc., etc... But Hilary, she never pounded this home. Trump did pound it more. Trump went for the jugular a lot and too often she played &#x201C;the high road.&#x201D; But can you imagine John McCain or Obama saying &#x201C;I will lock you up!&#x201D; in a debate? Clinton and her campaign were, again, far too cautious. But maybe Trump was so, so preposterous they did not even know how to truly best respond? I voted for her of course, but she did not have the passion, the draw of Obama on the cover of &#x3C;em&#x3E;The Atlantic&#x3C;/em&#x3E;. Yes, I mostly would have liked &#x201C;more of the same&#x201D; aka Obama. But there was a side of Obama that played nice with the Republicans for far too long, too long for the sake of the nation, and for the sake of the Party. He may have won twice, but this Party has been eviscerated in that span. &#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;So I propose, possibly after a few years of Trump, maybe two years before DEMS get off their butts and get to the polls in the damn midterms, then maybe we will begin, again, to see the long arc of history Obama often talks about. I have never see the passion of the DEMS as opposition as I see it right now, but it is barely organized, and yes it is only Dec 21. The Tea Partiers never seemed to quit. But I am not sure, until I see more evidence, that the DEMS have the spine and long game to dig deep and expose Trump, his grafter family, and Cabinet of Deplorables, for all they are worth.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Maybe it is too early, the new Senate Women haven&#x2019;t even been sworn in yet. They are the few, I think, who must have hope. I tell myself that Kamala Harris from California (!), for God&#x2019;s sake, will be in the Senate. Now what is she thinking? Does she have fire in the belly in the minority party for this Sisyphean, uphill fight? &#x2018;Cause that&#x2019;s what it now takes, Even if the blow isn&#x2019;t &#x201C;in your face&#x201D; (we don&#x2019;t need to out-Trump with even more Trump), my bet is with a more subversive (cunning?), strategic approach. There was a diary here the other day that mentioned this. How do we outsmart those bas&#x2026;..What kind of energy will her new Senate Office Staff have? I bet, lots. Before the Hilary loss, no Dem expected to be in the Presidential game for almost the next decade. I wonder who? We probably barely know their name now, just like Obama.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;The media (and the&#xA0;bosses who sent them) that went to the Off-The-Record Trump Cocktail Party at Mar-a-Lago should be fired from their jobs. No one should ever read anything they ever write (or say) for the rest of their lives. TV shows should quietly ban them from guest panels (but they won&#x2019;t, let&#x2019;s not kid ourselves). And now we hear THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC GOP OPPOSITION TO TRUMP FOR FEAR OF A TWEET STORM FROM HIM! Good God, Lindsey Graham and John McCain just got 6 more years in the Senate. Do we have to rely on this duo, or maybe add Susan Collins (a trio), now that NH wonderfully, but barely, got rid of that wretched &#x201C;pretender&#x201D; Kelly Ayotte? But that&#x2019;s really sad, that the only GOPers we can possibly expect to demonstrate any significant opposition to Trump are Senators (NOT House Members), who just got 6 more years.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Under Hilary, let&#x2019;s be honest about blatant GOP hypocrisy and gridlock, with no Senate or House, nothing would have happened except a filibuster proof Supreme Court nominee or two.&#xA0; I still would have taken that. But now, as my husband says, &#x201C;they control everything. Whatever happens is completely on them.&#x201D; &#xA0;Maybe it will be hard to deny that. Maybe this Party will wake the hell up. Elections are not won today (anymore) taking the high road. The Republicans were in pretty much this same situation in 2008 (plus or minus a few factors). They were &#x3C;em&#x3E;crushed&#x3C;/em&#x3E; that night weren&#x2019;t they?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>What is the best website for foreign affairs?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/15/1162151/-What-is-the-best-website-for-foreign-affairs</link>
<description>
&#x3C;p&#x3E;I find myself following domestic affairs a little less now that the election is over. I would like to broaden my daily internet reading by adding a foreign affairs website - but I do want one that is compatible to some degree with the dailykos philosophy. Any suggestions? ForeignPolicy.com? ForfeignAffairs.com?ChristianScienceMonitor.com (I used to subscribe to them and they are excellent), or maybe some lesser known site. I use twitter to follow individuals who also give me international insight, but a solid website recommendation would be helpful. Thanks.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Ready for Hillary 16 &#x26; Massive DEM Senate?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/7/1158517/-Ready-for-Hilary-16-Massive-DEM-Senate</link>
<description>
&#x3C;p&#x3E;I know, I know.......we just got this one done and my god, today &#x3C;em&#x3E;could&#x3C;/em&#x3E; have been a horrible aftermath. I recall most recently my disraught state in 2004. But as a political junkie who lives and breathes politics 24/7 I am already salivating at our current demographics and DEM prospects for 2016. Moreover, the discussion of the filibuster today and a tweet from Markos about likely sad DEM prospects for the Senate in 2014 got me to thinking about 2016 - knowing that the DEMS got a shelacking in &#x26;nbsp;2010 when all those Republicans won and who have to campaign for re-election in 4 years. More below....&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Obama got job numbers Thursday</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/1/1154080/-Obama-got-job-numbers-Thursday</link>
<description>
&#x3C;p&#x3E;I read previously that Obama privately gets the the monthly jobs numbers every Thursday. So he now knows what they are. Next, I thought about his stump speech in Denver this evening in particular. He seemed VERY animated, very passionate and a little unlike his first stop today in Green Bay which was a little low key. Looks like he had his closing A game on. I have a hunch that his body language is indicating that there is an improvement. Maybe 150,000 jobs and maybe a drop to 7.6 or something. I know Gallup has their own job numbers at 7.0 and the revised ADP (for some strange reason they are using a new tweaked formula this month) numbers are looking at 125,000 or close to that (which in the past never seemed in line with the Official Labor Report reported alongside the Unemployment rate and both use different methods of analysis) - but my hunch is that he knows the good news. What does anyone else think? I know when I wake up in the morning I will immediately reach for my cell phone at my bedside, first sweat and then check twitter. If the numbers are good, this election is really over.......&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/12/13/928798/-I-support-Obama-s-Tax-Bill-so-THERE-w-update</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;This issue is really a dead horse. It is probably better in the long run for the country and the DEMS, at least with the Senate rules as they are requiring 6o votes for cloture these days for even taking a shi.... Obama has triangulated, for better or for worse, but Obama and the DEMS would have taken a terrible hit come January 1 if middle class taxes had gone up. This really is the backdoor second stimulus.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>INSIDE JOB - film is depressing as hell...</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/11/28/923791/-INSIDE-JOB-film-is-depressing-as-hell</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;My partner and I just went to see the documentary narrated by Matt Damon &#x22;Inside Job&#x22; which describes the 2008 global Great Recession. It begins by covering all the factors that led up to the 2008 global meltdown and the aftermath including the first year or so of the Obama Presidency. An excellent diary on this film was written the other day and this diary is just meant to add some reaction to the film.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Met ex-Philly DA Lynne Abraham of 20 yrs @ bustop</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/11/5/918118/-Met-ex-Philly-DA-Lynne-Abraham-of-20-yrs-bustop</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I was standing at the bustop today in Philly and thought the woman next to me was Lynne Abraham, the tough ex-District Attorney in Phladelphia who served from 1991-2010 and served as DA under Gov Ed Rendell when he was our Mayor. I voted for her every time she ran since I moved to Philly in 1994 and I told her so. She was known as one damn good but tough Democrat in a heavily Democratic city. And so I asked her &#x22;Your&#x27;re a seasoned politician. What happened on Tuesday?&#x22; I will not sugar coat what she said to me and she was very genuine as we talked as we waited for our bus to come....&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Obama &#x26; DEMS: Failure to Communicate?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/10/28/914509/-Obama-DEMS-Failure-to-Communicate</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I watched Obama last night on the Daily Show. John Stewart gave a very fine interview. He didn&#x27;t smooch Obama and lick him like Hannity/Faux FOX would have done to Bush. I am someone who HAS not been impacted much by the near depression nor has my partner. We are college professors in health education professions and those are still booming. But we agree there has been some lackluster taken off &#x22;The Promise of Change.&#x22; My soft critique below because we still believe......&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>How can we DESTROY/DISCREDIT Fox/Faux News? </title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/9/18/903064/-How-can-we-DESTROY-DISCREDIT-Fox-Faux-News</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I was motivated to write this diary as again I heard Sarah Palin is calling on FOX News to be the megaphone for GOPers and TeaBaggers (my word of choice). And now Chrstine O&#x27;Donnell, who won with an incredibly small percentage of eligible voters in Delaware (why Chris Matthews thinks this minority of a minority is ultra significant is beyond me) first canceled her Face the Nation appearance tomorrow and at least the initial media reports were that she would still appear on Fox News Sunday. Now it appears that is cancelled too since she probably fears the only has-ass semi-tough interviewer on Fox - Chris Wallace. Sharon Angle and Rand Paul, ad nauseam fellow teabaggers, do much the same thing. More below the fold. &#x26;nbsp; &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Did Louisianans deserve this? Maybe.</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/5/25/869888/-Did-Louisianans-deserve-this-Maybe</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I know, I know, that title is a little over the top. But it was meant to be. First, I am incredibly devastated by the loss of wildlife and this destruction to god&#x27;s earth. I recently looked at a coastal map of Louisiana and was really amazed at the number of islands offshore. I also had no idea how rich the marsh, lower delta, and vegetation is (or was). It was after being surprised how pristine the Louisiana coast was, that I got this idea? &#x3C;em&#x3E;Did Louisianans deserve this? Maybe&#x3C;/em&#x3E;. More below the fold.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>No MoJo? Big Repug/Teabaggin&#x27; crybabies, what&#x27;s wrong? (poll)</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/3/25/850928/-No-MoJo-Big-Repug-Teabaggin-crybabies-what-s-wrong-poll</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I am literally exhausted! I just basically watched this whole healthcare thing unfold being a political junkie. I feel sorta like just after Obama&#x27;s election, the next day. This last year I have blogged a helluva lot on dKOS, some Politico, TONS of Twitter, and way too much cable TV - mostly Chris (I know, I know.....), Ed (He grew on me rather nicely), Keith (the daddy of democracy on cable) and dear Rachel &#x26;nbsp;- a new solid, progressive, intellectual force on the rational/liberal/democratic side. But tonight Rachel is a little exaperated!! Me TOO!! Where&#x27;e the Republican MoJo?? What happened?? It&#x27;s like the all the hot air just went out of the baloon.......like getting all excited to just to realize, there is no show! I mean we all know the radical teabaggers out there are sending hateful, very unChristian like phone calls to politician&#x27;s homes and some are resorting to crimes. It appears the shot into Cantors&#x27; headquarters however was not one of them. A little more below the fold...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Disgrace! NBC News does hit job on Health Care Law!</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/3/23/849906/-Disgrace-NBC-News-does-hit-job-on-Health-Care-Law</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Sorry for the short diary, but I am outraged! After President Obama actually signs a new health care reform into law TODAY, tonight NBC and Brian Williams and Savannah Guthrie and Kellie Williams all do a HIT JOB ON healthcare reform! I cannot imagine a more imbalanced report of the new law and WORSE - THEY DON&#x27;T EVEN INFORM THE VIEWER WHAT THE NEW LAW MEANS!! More details below the fold.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>A disgraceful diary &#x22;Why I can&#x27;t support the HCR bill&#x22; (FINAL UPDATE)</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/3/15/846590/-A-disgraceful-diary-Why-I-can-t-support-the-HCR-bill-FINAL-UPDATE</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I simply cannot fathom why this diary made the RECC list? It is disgraceful that 33 million americans WHO HAVE NO DAMN HEALTHCARE are being trashed by this diarist WHO IS PERFECTLY WILLING THAT THEY CONTINUE TO BE WITHOUT HEALTH CARE! I am disgusted that this nonsense made the recc list. I have never trashed a diary like this in all the years I have been on the dailykos. I just wish the diarist would go to REDSTATE.com. I am sure her/his views would be very welcome there. More rant below the fold.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Stars on Ice Denies Snubbing Johnny.YOU LIE!</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/3/13/845850/-Stars-on-Ice-Denies-Snubbing-Johnny-YOU-LIE</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;The Stars on Ice tour denies snubbing Johnny Weir over his &#x27;perceived&#x27; sexual orientation. Johnny says it has been reported he is not &#x27;family friendly&#x27; enough!&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/03/12/weir.tour.snub/index.html?hpt=T2&#x22;&#x3E;http://www.cnn.com/...&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Stars on Ice is so laughable they report there is no room for Johnny! WHAT? And they say they have Jeremy Abbott skating with them? Now how many seats is he going to fill? OUTRAGEOUS...Johnny can fill the seats...What can Jeremy do? He bombed in the Olympics even as the US Chamnpion! Johnny Weir, however, sparkled (sorry!) and got lower marks for a sold long program with the homophobic judges because of his ice flamboyance. Hey Kossacks, you helped get the Virginia Governor McDonnell to retract his anti-hate Attorney General with a great email campaign. Let&#x27;s help Johnny now. Contact info below the fold. &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>The Obama/DEM Party PR machine Pitiful &#x26; Poll</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/2/22/839539/-The-Obama-DEM-Party-PR-machine-Pitiful-Poll</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Since I am a professor here are my grades&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Grade for Republicans on their PR machine: A-&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I am usually stingy with As, but the mere fact that the GOP party was decimated in the last two elections, practically on the brink of extinction (not really), but have surged from No-Where, means they get an A- for effort. The Minus is for their reliance on LIES/MORE LIES/HYSTERIA/DECEIT/HYPOCRISY. In other words, upon reflection, I could say they CHEATED for that grade. But since the public hasn&#x27;t yet caught on to their cheating strategy, the grade A- stands. If the public catches on, then the cheating penalty is included, and the grade goes down (maybe they don&#x27;t sweep in to office in the fall after all).&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Obama/DEM Grades are below the fold:&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Petition to Make Rachel a Meet the Press &#x27;George Will&#x27;</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/2/19/838809/-Petition-to-Make-Rachel-a-Meet-the-Press-George-Will</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Again I came across this post on the Huffington Post today atributed to Danny Shea: &#x27;Meet The Press&#x27; Ratings Burst With Maddow Appearance&#x27;!! This is now the second time Rachel has helped MTP ratings surge. After her appearance last week on MTP when she literally destroyed that little youngster Republican House member Rep Shock from Illinois - she called him out over his hypocrisy in taking credit for Budget Stimulus funds in his district when he voted against the bill in Congress. He was VERY visibly embarassed. She also put him in his place about Miranda rights.....so I saw where some diarist afterward last Sunday suggested in a single comment that maybe Rachel should become a permanent host on Meet the Press with David Gregory like George Will is to &#x27;This Week&#x27;! I responded to the diarist that I thought it was a fabulous idea! More below the fold. &#x26;nbsp; &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Call your Sen/Rep: No Healthcare, No Vote!</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/2/7/834842/-Call-your-Sen-Rep-No-Healthcare-No-Vote</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I have read lots of diaries recently about the prospects for the Democrats in November if they don&#x27;t pass healthcare. There is also a lot of noise about the lack of direction from the White House on next steps. Instead of wishing/praying the weasly/timid Democrats can actually use their power and govern - Nancy Pelosi seems to get the job done, if no one else &#x26;nbsp;- I have a very practical, pragmatic solution below the fold.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Are Rasmussen Polls Scaring off DEMS? </title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/1/21/828288/-Are-Rasmussen-Polls-Scaring-off-DEMS</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I am sick of seeing ANOTHER Rasmussen poll that again shows the DEMS going down in 2010. How many millions of polls (not literally) can they publish? Are just the mere number of Rasmussen polls beginning to discourage DEMS from entering races, running for re-election, or discouraging the DEMS from voting next November? I wonder..... &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
