<title>Trumping the Fear Card</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/30/445263/-Trumping-the-Fear-Card</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Inspired by &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/28/232910/086/296/445160&#x22;&#x3E;invisiblewoman&#x27;s diary on fear&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, &#x26;nbsp;I started thinking about how the Democrats could confront the the campaign of fear that the Republicans are likely to wage this year. &#x26;nbsp;Perhaps, &#x26;nbsp;instead of simply trying to call &#x22;Foul!&#x22;, &#x26;nbsp;they should use an approach that&#x27;s worked in the past: &#x26;nbsp;inspiration and real leadership.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Give Bush a &#x22;Clean Bill of Hell&#x22;: Calling the FISA Bluff</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/26/443424/-Give-Bush-a-Clean-Bill-of-Hell-Calling-the-FISA-Bluff</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Whenever Congress tries to force Bush to accept something he doesn&#x27;t like by attaching it to something he does, &#x26;nbsp;he whines that it should give him a &#x22;clean bill&#x22;. &#x26;nbsp;It&#x27;s time to give him one on FISA.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Why the Iraq AUMF was evil, and voting for it unforgiveable</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/22/435905/-Why-the-Iraq-AUMF-was-evil-and-voting-for-it-unforgiveable</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Many have called for the Presidential candidates who voted for the Iraq AUMF to &#x22;explain&#x22; or &#x22;apologize for&#x22; their votes. &#x26;nbsp;Many have said we should at least cut them some slack, &#x26;nbsp;if not outright forgive them, &#x26;nbsp;because &#x22;they were lied into supporting the war, &#x26;nbsp;too&#x22;.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;But, &#x26;nbsp;knowing what we know now about what they knew (or should have known) back then, &#x26;nbsp;those votes are completely unacceptable in someone we&#x27;re considering giving the power of the Presidency.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
