<title>Seven worst things about Bush Presidency</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/1/15/684362/-Seven-worst-things-about-Bush-Presidency</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I am almost delerious with joy about the end W&#x27;s reign, an illegitimate president who seems beyond rehabilitation.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;And this article that I&#x27;ve linked below has some eloquent reasons why I&#x27;m glad he&#x27;s going.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;But I wonder, in this list of his seven worst mistakes, what is not included? Please feel free to add...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>My Election Day Memories</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/11/4/626607/-My-Election-Day-Memories</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;As millions stroll into the voting booth, I have some personal memories of past presidential elections that are streaming into my mind for whatever reasons. Maybe there are connections to the 2008 campaign.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>The REAL John McCain</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/10/31/648647/-The-REAL-John-McCain</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;A mavarick, huh? Sounds like a vindicative guy who would make Cheney look like Gandhi. Check this out from a documentary filmmaker who got the real views of McCain before his staff found out what they were and tried to destroy him.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Hammer McSame: &#x22;Those jobs aren&#x27;t coming back&#x22;</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/10/5/620826/-Hammer-McSame-Those-jobs-aren-t-coming-back</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Far be it from me to give the Obama Campaign Machine advice, as they&#x27;ve been shrewd, successful and on the mark, but I would hope that in the upcoming debates Obama would throw this idiots words back at home regarding jobs and the American future.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Why? Because America elects optimists as presidents (See Reagan, Ronald Wilson). And McSame is just a grouchy loser.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>What states should Obama focus on now?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/28/613258/-What-states-should-Obama-focus-on-now</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;The 50-state strategy, while encouraging, is not realistic in the last month of the campaign.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Resources must be concentrated on the best prospects. I had hopes for Montana, but it looks like they will go for McSame.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;If you were Obama&#x27;s team, what states would you focus on and which would you abandon? I see a BIG EIGHT, and scaling back efforts in six.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Why wouldn&#x27;t McCain look at Obama?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/26/612027/-Why-wouldn-t-McCain-look-at-Obama</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;In the history of these debates, it&#x27;s the non-verbal impressions that set the tone, rule the day. Nixon looking shifty, nervous, untrustworthy versus JFK&#x27;s calm, confident demeanor.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I could not get over as I watched tonight&#x27;s debate how John McCain would not look at, talk to or otherwise engage Barack Obama in their discussions.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;That, I think, put the last nail in his coffin.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/10/593286/-Obama-s-way-to-win-Borrow-from-Reagan</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I realize the Republican saint is not highly thought of by some at DK, but he was a great campaigner and his work in 1980 was masterful.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Obama needs to mention him by name then spin his best gambit from that campaign IN THE FIRST DEBATE!&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>McCain&#x27;s comment: A &#x22;let them eat cake&#x22; moment</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/8/22/573242/-McCain-s-comment-A-let-them-eat-cake-moment</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Heard on NPR today some pundit saying the whole McCain not knowing how many houses he owns is at best a &#x22;medium&#x22; gaffe.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I beg to differ.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Considering the state of housing drama in the U.S. today, I think this will resonate far greater that George H.W. Bush&#x27;s surprise at supermarket scanners in 1992.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Should geo-engineering be used to fight GW?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/6/24/541115/-Should-geo-engineering-be-used-to-fight-GW</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I find it amazing that geo-engineering is so controversial in environmental circles. I realize that unintended consequences can result in more harm than good, but even if we cap emissions we are unlikely to do so fast enough, as Dr. Hansen&#x27;s speech yesterday outlined, in order to prevent massive extinctions and death.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I would hope that Obama and McCain would put these concepts on the table as a positive solution to Global Warming.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I never saw anything like this in previous years until I went into the store on the campus of Northeastern University in Boston last fall.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;A 2008 &#x22;through the Glorious End! (Jan. 20, 2009)&#x22; calendar, with pictures of our fearless leader, his moronic quotes sprinkled throughout and the number of days left til he leaves office (219 today if anyone needs to know).&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/6/9/533158/-BREAKING-Obama-could-raise-100-million-in-June</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Holy Cow! I know he was at one point saying great things about public financing of the presidential campaign. But he would make a very foolish mistake to stick with that.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I know there&#x27;s a lot of work to do.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I know the election is a long way off.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;But at this point in the year, Obama has a far more substantial BASE in the Electoral College than McCain does, and he has MANY ways to win, whereas McSame has to thread the needle to take the White House.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Praise for the Prius</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/6/8/532128/-Praise-for-the-Prius</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;In 2006 I bought a used Prius from the sister of a former student. She was going away to grad school on the East Coast and needed the money. She hated selling it. I wanted to buy it after seeing Al Gore&#x27;s &#x22;An Inconvenient Truth&#x22; and wanted to take more practical steps to save the environment.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;What kind of car inspires such a passion? Two years later I understand why. I feel it was one of the best moves I ever made, and I&#x27;m wondering if all cars will be hybrids in 1- years.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Karl Rove: Evil Personified</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/27/523904/-Karl-Rove-Evil-Personified</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;HuffPo has an interview with Don Siegelman that expounds at great lunch on just how horrible this guy is.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;It&#x27;s a stance I&#x27;ve held since he unkindly, inaccurately and without a shread of decency torpedoed John McCain and his wife in 2000 for having the human decency of adopting an orphan who badly needed parents when they were touring Vietnam.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;He calls to mind the great words of the man who took down Joe McCarthy: &#x22;At long last, sir, have you NO decency?&#x22;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I know this is exceptionally discouraging to many, but I believe that Ed Rindell&#x27;s comment about the people of his state can possibly be extrapolated to many states in the GE: &#x22;This country isn&#x27;t ready for a black president.&#x22; That people would use THAT excuse to vote against a great candidate is stunning to me, but I think Obama will have to talk about it more as the campaign stretches on...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I know there&#x27;s a lot of garbage going on, but this virulent strain even has a name that sound so official, the &#x22;Denver Plan,&#x22; and would involve Al Gore stepping in as the nominee...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Newsweek: HRC only took in $7 mill in March!</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/4/4/490488/-Newsweek-HRC-only-took-in-7-mill-in-March</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I doubted it when everyone was assuming she came in with $20 million, just because Wolfson wouldn&#x27;t put a specific figure on it and some sources floated that number. Now the truth may show yet another BIG LIE from the Clintons!&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>I can&#x27;t stand the latest Hillary lies: money is not a problem!</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/3/31/487990/-I-can-t-stand-the-latest-Hillary-lies-money-is-not-a-problem</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;NAFTA, Bosnia, whatever. Lying to her seems more natural than it does to Bill. But with the SCORES of reports in recent days from small business people not paid for their wares, her stiffing her old high school and currently having on the books MILLIONS in debt, there&#x27;s more BS coming from her campaign that everything is just fine.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Hillary going broke, heading downhill?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/3/28/486428/-Hillary-going-broke-heading-downhill</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;OK, it was most definitely the worst week for HRC this year, other than losing in Iowa maybe. The bad news just keeps piling up, there were reports today that big donors are not ponying up the cash and paychecks may be cut in half or withheld sometime in the near future.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Can Obama create a RESPECTABLE strategy in PA?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/3/23/482922/-Can-Obama-create-a-RESPECTABLE-strategy-in-PA</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Bare with me, this is my first diary and I&#x27;ve been a lurker for a long time, so I&#x27;ll try to be substantial.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;ve been an Obama backer since his 2004 speech at the DNC. I was a former Illinois resident, talked to a lot of people after the speech and was struck by how many, dating back to his days as a community organizer, used to think, &#x22;Some day that guy is going to be president.&#x22; Crazy, but that&#x27;s the impression he left on people, even Republicans, that he was a gifted political leader.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
