It's not my intention to hawk the book or even the writers' fine work, but I did want to pass along a link to the YouTube ad and particularly the responses to it.</p> <p>In a nutshell, you see in the video the "But we're not racists" public face of the new segregation, and in the comments you see what these folks say when they don't have a camera in their faces. It's mind-blowing.</p> <p>More and a YouTube link after the jump, with the over-the-top vile bagger responses that made even jaded old me blush.</p> <p>Link and disclaimer below the fold.</p> <p>UPDATE: the 'nailing' I referred to has less to do with the author's book as it has to do with the comments the YouTube video engendered and the juxtaposition of the two. Also, I apologize if this for some reason isn't an appropriate diary, but here goes.</p> <p>I recently saw the upcoming HBO feature "Recount" about the 2000 Florida recount, starring Kevin Spacey as Ron Klain, Denis Leary as Michael Whouley, Laura Dern as Katherine Harris (worth the price of a month of HBO right there) and other great actors.
