<title>Those Running For The Oval Office Need to Remember Who Got Them Their Job</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/9/28/1575679/-Those-Running-For-The-Oval-Office-Need-to-Remember-Who-Got-Them-Their-Job</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Most American&#x2019;s have been on the newswire wanting to know who is leading the polls, who has won the debate, but the real thing we should all focus on is truths and how&#xA0;we, the American people will be treated once we elect them &#xA0;to public office.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;They spend millions of dollars on campaigns, sabotaging each other&#x2019;s character and the American people are busy defending them, me included. We need to think about things and realize, once either one of them gets elected, their nice people pleasing personalities will diminish and they will not care one thing about how we, the American people feels that voted them in office.&#xA0;&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Why not take all those millions they are spending and feed the poor, help the senior citizens and try to help the American economy that they, in their debates talk about how they can &#x201C;save our economy&#x201D;. Why not have them put their money where their mouth is?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I do not mind telling anyone that I will vote for Hillary Clinton, out of the two candidates, she&#x2019;s the only one with an inkling of sense and Trump&#x2019;s big mouth will spout off to North Korea or Russia and get us nuked. I really feel the vice president candidates are much better people than anyone of the presidents and It&#x2019;s too bad they can&#x2019;t run instead of their upper end bosses.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;In the debate, Hillary&#x2019;s smirky grin turned my stomach. And Trumps&#x2019; loud mouth, no sense of respect and lies finished it off.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Election 2016 Debate</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/9/26/1574743/-Election-2016-Debate</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#xA0;&#x201C;Way To Go Hillary&#x201D;. She slammed Donald so many times it&#x2019;s unreal. Now African American&#x2019;s understands that Trump was a racist long ago and nothing&#x2019;s changed. She also let him have it for the harassment&#xA0;he&#x2019;s pulled on President Obama. I beg American people to think long and hard before you vote for someone who has no experience, someone who shoots off at the mouth and doesn&#x2019;t know one thing about foreign trade or policy. He is a cocked cannon. Anyone who can brag about making 640 million dollars last year should be able to show their income taxes, shouldn&#x2019;t they?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Pants on Fire: Trump&#x27;s Lack of Knowledge and Experience</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/9/24/1573967/-Pants-on-Fire-Trump-s-Lack-of-Knowledge-and-Experience</link>
<description>&#x3C;div&#x3E;
&#x3C;div&#x3E;
&#x3C;div&#x3E;Donald J. Trump, &#x201C;successful&#x201D; business man, television personality, and the Republican party&#x2019;s 2016 nominee for president, has the world&#x2019;s attention and not in a good way. &#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Trump&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22;&#x3E;The son of Fred Trump&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, who amassed his fortune from building apartment complexes in New York, began building his empire after receiving a loan for $1 million, though the legitimacy of the figure has been questioned by many (including former opponent Marco Rubio who claimed Donald was given $200 million).&#xA0;&#x3C;/div&#x3E;

&#x3C;div&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
He is currently polling at 44.0 (right behind Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton who has 44.9) and appeals to people because he is wealthy, a business man, and he has no political background (which is like wanting a doctor who has no medical background to remove your appendix &#x2013; it&#x2019;s not a good idea). Here are five things Donald Trump got wrong regarding foreign policy and in general:&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x201C;The number of illegal immigrants could be 3 million. It could be 30 million.&#x201D;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
Politifacts gave this statement the rating of &#x201C;Pants on Fire,&#x201D; meaning it is a blatant lie. Homeland Security has estimated that the number of undocumented illegal immigrants living in the United States is just over 11 million &#x2013; a far cry from 30 million. Many experts have said that his figure is virtually impossible and that there is no way we have an extra 20 million people living in the country, unnoticed.&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/aug/30/donald-trump/donald-trump-wrong-inner-city-crime-reaching-recor/&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;&#x201C;Inner-city crime is reaching record levels. African-Americans will vote Trump because they know I will stop the slaughter going on!&#x201D;&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
If you look at charts that document violent crimes (homicide, rape, and assault), you&#x2019;ll find that, overall, crime has actually decreased since the 1990&#x2019;s. Of course, crime has jumped in certain cities (i.e. Orlando and Cleveland), but it&#x2019;s still lower than Trump claims. We should also note that he only holds 1% of the black vote.&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x22;With these new economic policies, trillions of dollars will start flowing into our country. This new wealth will improve the quality of life for all Americans&#x2014;we will build the roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, and the railways of tomorrow. This, in turn, will create millions more jobs.&#x22;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
This is great in theory, but Republicans will always oppose spending on railways and similar infrastructures so it just won&#x2019;t happen. In fact, his ridiculous budget plan would leave no room for such expenditures, anyway. (For more on this, see &#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/donald-trumps-utterly-ridiculous-budget-plan/2016/02/19/b6300002-d72b-11e5-be55-2cc3c1e4b76b_story.html?utm_term=.10f1a5c9e6120)&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;www.washingtonpost.com/...&#x3C;/a&#x3E;.&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x201C;NAFTA, signed by Bill Clinton, was a disaster for Pennsylvania.&#x201D;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
The North American Free Trade Agreement, which aimed to make trade easier between member countries, may not have lived up to its promise, but was Trump right to call it a disaster for Pennsylvania? Well, PA lost 308,432 manufacturing jobs to China and Mexico &#x2013; about 7%. The United States&#x2019; economy has grown in the past twenty years, though millions of jobs were lost during NAFTA (and not just in Pennsylvania).&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x201C;Barack Obama founded ISIS. I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton.&#x201D;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
This is just so absurd that everyone disagrees.&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/08/11/trump-s-new-conspiracy-spew-obama-founded-isis.html&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E; Anyone who would publicly say that POTUS is the creator of a terrorist organization should not be president&#x3C;/a&#x3E;. He has no place for &#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://www.gardenplantsnursery.com&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22;&#x3E;american business&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#x2019;.&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;This list is just a sample of what Donald Trump has said on Twitter&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, in interviews, and in speeches. In fact, this does not even begin to reveal how racist, misogynistic, and bigoted he is (and not to mention how clueless he is when it comes to policy and budgeting). &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/432010/trump-university-scam&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;He has swindled countless people out of money, created a fake college&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, treats his employees unfairly, and has been called a &#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/donald-trump-a-con-man-among-heroes/2016/09/16/ec849524-7c52-11e6-bd86-b7bbd53d2b5d_story.html?utm_term=.9afbe0e99a19&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22;&#x3E;con man.&#x3C;/a&#x3E; Is this the person you want running our country? He won&#x2019;t &#x201C;Make America Great Again&#x201D; &#x2013; he will be bad for business, bad for the economy, and bad for us.&#x3C;/div&#x3E;

<title>Trump&#x27;s Rise and Fall As A Candidate</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/9/14/1570237/-Trump-s-Rise-and-Fall-As-A-Candidate</link>
<description>&#x3C;div&#x3E;Donald Trump was once seen as someone who was just a harmless millionaire who liked the attention he got in the spotlight. He was there hosting The Apprentice, and he was trying to increase his brand without being anything more than someone who liked attention. The American public saw him as harmless because he was not threatening their life, and he was not the agent of hate that he is today. He has been quoted as saying that he could get the republican base to vote for him because they are too stupid to know any better. The quote is out there, and now people are still ready to vote for him.&#x3C;/div&#x3E;

&#x3C;div&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
The problem is that he has no reputation left to speak of. He has been shown to be the worst person to be in the public eye because he cannot keep his words to himself. He wants to be sure that the people of America know that he is very popular, and he also wants to say whatever he wants with impunity. He thinks that people are going to forgive him all the things he does because he is saying things that everyone else is thinking. The side of society that is not happy with him is frightened by him because he inciting violence and hate, and the other side is allowing him to do at the same time.&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
Donald Trump has proven that he is willing to be on the wrong side of history to be in the spotlight, and he is bringing people along with him. He is falling because more and more people are not willing to be attached to him. More and more people are not willing to follow him just to get power because they have shown that they have some scruples. It is very easy for someone to get sucked his hatred because they just do not like people, and there are many people who will end up being on the wrong side of history because of the way that people are looking for power.&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
There is a very strong scent of white power in what Donald Trump does, and he will not even say that David Duke is a bad guy. He is not willing to denounce people who are bad for the world, and he is not willing to act as if he can be a common and decent person. That is why his campaign has caused him to be the person who is falling instead of rising. He is losing ground, and he will likely not have a name left when the campaign is over.&#x3C;/div&#x3E;

<title>Donald Trump&#x2019;s Immigration Plan For Dummies</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/9/6/1567116/-Donald-Trump-s-Immigration-Plan-For-Dummies</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Donald Trump&#x2019;s &#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/immigration-reform&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;immigration plan&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, if elected, has been a bit of a perplexity to most Americans.&#xA0; The Hotel mogul&#x2019;s &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/31/us/politics/donald-trump-mexico.html?_r=0&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;speeches&#x3C;/a&#x3E; have been decidedly harsh and equally vague throughout the Trump Campaign run.&#xA0; Trump&#x2019;s campaign uses the appeal of reinstalling the possibility of obtaining the long-pursued &#x201C;American Dream&#x201D; to hard-working Americans.&#xA0; Unfortunately, many people living in the U.S. are no longer able to afford the tangibles that curtail a storybook life.&#xA0; It is equally unfortunate that many voters attribute this financial hardship to immigration.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Amidst all the confusing stances and views, there is a much easier way of viewing Trump&#x2019;s immigration plan should he be elected President of the United States.&#xA0; Let&#x2019;s break it down, and check out this summary.&#xA0; Here is Donald Trump&#x2019;s&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/08/31/us/politics/donald-trump-immigration-changes.html&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E; immigration plan&#x3C;/a&#x3E; for dummies.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;For purposes of definition, unauthorized immigrants equal Mexicans.&#xA0; Trump has repeatedly used the words together when speaking.&#xA0; At his worst, Trump referred to Mexicans as &#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2015/07/08/donald-trumps-false-comments-connecting-mexican-immigrants-and-crime/&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22;&#x3E;rapists and criminals,&#x3C;/a&#x3E; adding that &#x201C;possibly some&#x201D; of them are good people.&#xA0; He has also supported a view of immigration as a picture of Mexican pouring over the border in herds.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;The truth of this matter is that Mexican immigration has been decreasing over the last ten years.&#xA0; According to Pew Research Center, in 2009, illegal immigration averaged around 6.4 million people compared to the numbers associated with stats from 2014.&#xA0; In 2014, immigration was down to 5.6 million and has continued to fall.&#xA0; &#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Trump&#x2019;s second stance when it comes to intensified immigration policies is built upon a false belief in an&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.ontheissues.org/2016/Donald_Trump_Immigration.htm&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E; upsurge of crime in our country.&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#xA0; He claims that &#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/08/31/heres-what-donald-trump-said-in-his-big-immigration-speech-annotated/&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;two of every five immigrants are violent criminals,&#x3C;/a&#x3E; which could not be farther from the truth.&#xA0; Sure, after a good scrambling of the numbers, one could make some sense of this estimate, but let us look at the more reputable source.&#xA0; &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/sep/02/donald-trump/donald-trump-says-obama-administration-has-let-300/&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;The Migration Policy Institute released a study estimating that only 300,000 unauthorized immigrants have been convicted of felonies.&#xA0; This is a very small percentage, considering there are almost 5 million new immigrants every year.&#x3C;/a&#x3E; some reputable &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.treenurseryco.com&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;business&#x3C;/a&#x3E; owners. &#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Trump has also tied America&#x2019;s trouble with&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.npr.org/2016/07/21/486883610/fact-check-donald-trumps-republican-convention-speech-annotated&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E; terrorism to undocumented immigrants.&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#xA0; He has repeatedly claimed that terrorism is on the rise due to federal authorities granting immigration visas to foreigners too easily.&#xA0; He claimed that 380 immigrants were convicted of &#x2018;terror&#x2019; offenses.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;What the Trump Campaign and Donald Trump fail to acknowledge while tossing around numbers is that these convictions were &#x201C;terrorist or terror-related&#x201D;.&#xA0; Some examples of a &#x201C;terror-related&#x201D; crime by definition are forgery, entering the U.S. unlawfully, and claiming you are someone you are not (false identity).&#xA0; These actions are against the law, but they are far from equal to bombing the World Trade Center.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;The final tool used by the &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.wired.com/2016/05/even-conservatives-say-trumps-immigration-plan-dystopian/&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22;&#x3E;Trump Campaign is to relate immigration to unemployment&#x3C;/a&#x3E;.&#xA0; It&#x2019;s regularly been argued that immigrants aren&#x2019;t usually the people taking up U.S. jobs.&#xA0; Typically, illegal immigrants work jobs that aren&#x2019;t exactly desirable to most U.S. citizens.&#xA0; These people work under circumstances that are not legal sometimes.&#xA0; They work for less than minimum wage, and they work with no benefits.&#xA0; Off shoring jobs to lower paying countries is a much more realistic threat to the working class American.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Trump&#x2019;s immigration plan, or it was until he took a nosedive in stats. is to execute a &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/284910-trump-shifts-tone-no-mass-deportations&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22;&#x3E;massive deportation&#x3C;/a&#x3E;.&#xA0; On a small scale, we have already seen some of the repercussions of this sort of mass exodus.&#xA0; Arizona has seen the results of absent immigrants.&#xA0; When many Mexicans left the U.S. during our most recent recession, many low-skill jobs were left without enough manpower to continue doing business.&#xA0; The exodus also lowered Arizona&#x2019;s overall base of consumers, tragically impacting local businesses.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Maybe it&#x2019;s time to take a look at a solution based on compromise.&#xA0; Extremes in immigration have not worked thus far in the history of our country.&#xA0; Maybe it&#x2019;s time we realize, as a country, that we are rooted in immigration.&#xA0; The founding fathers of our country were immigrants.&#xA0; This land did not belong to us when the first settlers chose to call it home.&#xA0; America has historically been built upon the backs of foreign settlers.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Only time will tell what the American voters have to say to Trump, but is that even a true representation of what our country wants in a president?&#xA0; Many people are expected to lay out of this election, due to the overwhelming controversy surrounding the main candidates.&#xA0; Though we might hope that our election process is not simply a two-party election process, it is exactly that.&#xA0; Voters planning to vote for a Green Party candidate are essentially throwing away their vote.&#xA0; For example, Tennessee always goes red in the election.&#xA0; Voting for the Democratic nominee in the state of Tennessee will most likely make no difference in the overall outcome of the election.&#xA0; We have to see that our system is broken, and begin searching for ways to amend our election process.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;strong&#x3E;Trump Denies Racism Accusations Though His Words Show Different&#x3C;/strong&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Donald Trump has repeatedly denied accusations of racism for many years.&#xA0; If he is so neutral in his beliefs, then why has he been fighting these accusations for so many years? Trump&#x2019;s racist comments have been shocking the public for much of his time in the spotlight.&#xA0; The Donald can be quoted all the way back to the 1970&#x2019;s saying some very off-color things about various races.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;When his longitudinal behavior patterns are investigated, it is clear that Donald Trump is an accomplished bigot.&#xA0; This isn&#x2019;t a new concept, either.&#xA0; The first time the Presidential candidate appeared in the well-known publication of the New York Times it was a racial discrimination.&#xA0; The U.S. Department of Justice sued Trump for denying housing to an African-American woman.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;An accurate compilation of Trump&#x2019;s verbal dichotomy is in order.&#xA0; Take a look at these verbatim examples.&#xA0; They have been neatly arranged in chronological order for your viewing pleasure.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;In 1973, Trump&#x2019;s racism led to a Federal investigation of his company.&#xA0; The U.S. Department of Justice sent two different women to apply for housing in one of Trump&#x2019;s apartment complexes.&#xA0; One woman was Caucasian and one was African-American.&#xA0; To nobody&#x2019;s surprise, the African-American woman was told that there was no housing available, while the Caucasian woman was urged to view two available units.&#xA0; This case ended with Trump being made to sign an agreement saying that he wouldn&#x2019;t discriminate in the future.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Early in the 80&#x2019;s, another of Trump&#x2019;s businesses was accused of racial discrimination.&#xA0; One of Trump&#x2019;s former employees leaked that, &#x201C;When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor.&#xA0; It was the 80&#x2019;s, I was a teenager, but I remember it: They put us all in the back.&#x201D;&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;In 1989, when the huge historical case of the &#x201C;Central Park Five&#x201D; was hitting the media, Trump put an ad in the local newspaper headlining, &#x201C;Bring Back The Death Penalty.&#xA0; Bring Back Our Police!&#x201D;&#xA0; The five teens involved in the case were later exonerated of the crime, but Donald Trump argued the verdict.&#xA0; He said that they were probably involved in other crimes that night, and they were treated too well.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;In 1991, John O&#x2019;Donnell wrote a book exposing more of Trump&#x2019;s racism.&#xA0; As the former president of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, O&#x2019;Donnell worked face-to-face with Trump on many occasions.&#xA0; During one encounter with the mogul, O&#x2019;Donnell recounted Trump&#x2019;s criticism of an African-American accountant.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x201C;Black guys counting my money!&#xA0; I hate it.&#xA0; The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.&#xA0; I think that the guy is lazy, and it&#x2019;s probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks.&#xA0; It really is, I believe that.&#xA0; It&#x2019;s not anything they can control.&#x201D;&#xA0; Donald Trump denied these accusations of racism at first, but was later quoted saying, &#x201C;the stuff O&#x2019;Donnell wrote about me is probably true.&#x201D;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Just a year later, in 1992, The Trump Plaza Hotel accrued a fine of $200,000 for committing an arguably racist act.&#xA0; The hotel&#x2019;s managers transferred African-American dealers off tables to accommodate the interests of a big time Caucasian gambler.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Donald Trump&#x2019;s racism has even been made apparent to the public eye through his own hit series, &#x3C;em&#x3E;The Apprentice&#x3C;/em&#x3E;.&#xA0; &#xA0;In 2005, he pitched a show idea that could be summed up in this title: The Apprentice: Whites vs. Blacks.&#xA0; His excuse was that he was looking for a show idea that was particularly controversial.&#xA0; He sure knows how to get a rise out of the American public.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;In 2010, the country was in a tense debate over the construction of a mosque near the ground zero site of 9/11 in Manhattan.&#xA0; Trump publicly protested the project, saying that the building would be &#x201C;insensitive&#x201D; to survivors.&#xA0; He even offered to pay one investor to curtail the project.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Any one person in the public eye could most likely make a recovery from any one of these instances, but the accumulation of all of them clearly paints a picture of how Donald Trump feels about racism.&#xA0; Not to mention, he also played a major role in the huge controversial claim that Barack Obama was not born in the United States.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Trump&#x2019;s actions paint a very dismal picture for the country&#x2019;s future if he is elected President in November.&#xA0; It is absolutely flabbergasting that there are still millions of people in this country supporting this man.&#xA0; There are enough people that support this type of mentality in the United States to make Trump a threat.&#xA0; It&#x2019;s to be expected that Donald Trump would be considered an enemy of the Democratic party, but it should be noted that he is much more.&#xA0;&#xA0; Donald Trump&#x2019;s racism threatens us all.&#xA0;&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>If Donald Trump Gets Elected</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/9/5/1567036/-If-Donald-Trump-Gets-Elected</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;If Donald Trump gets elected, he would likely play nice during the first 100 days. After that, a gamut of bad choices and derisory actions would begin in earnest.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;span&#x3E;The only hope Americans would have with Trump in office would be a Presidential cabinet of saviors. The problem with this scenario is that no competent professionals would even consider being part of a Trump administration.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;span&#x3E;If Donald Trump gets elected, the first casualty of his administration would be the American economy.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;span&#x3E;Given Trump&#x27;s narrow view of macroeconomics, he would try to find a way to dispose of NAFTA and other trade agreements that he has no clue about; this may result in other nations forming their own trade agreements and ignoring the United States. Such trade imbalance would result in massive inflation.&#xA0;&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;span&#x3E;If Donald Trump gets elected, the global balance of power would shift significantly.&#xA0;&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;span&#x3E;Knowing that Trump would do nothing, Russian President Vladimir Putin would feel empowered to pick on a nation other than Ukraine, perhaps a smaller U.S. ally and NATO member such as Latvia.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;span&#x3E;If Donald Trump gets elected, the delicate social balance of the U.S. will be initially shaken and profoundly disturbed. Case in point: in early August, a group of military veterans marched to Capitol Hill for the purpose of asking Senator John McCain to convince Republicans to renounce Trump.&#xA0;&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;span&#x3E;Trump has shown towards Senator McCain, a decorated Vietnam veteran and prisoner of war, as well as towards Khizr and Ghazala Khan, parents of a Muslim American Army officer who was killed in action in Iraq. This disrespect has moved the aforementioned group to collect more than 100,000 signatures from fellow veterans to disavow Trump. U.S. military members currently on active duty and reserve status would not have much of a choice under Trump as Commander in Chief, but the culture of pride that the Armed Forces are known for would likely crumble in just a few months.&#xA0;&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;span&#x3E;If Donald Trump gets elected, the Grand Old Party will be forced to restructure and start over, beginning with impeachment; it may take Republicans decades to return to the White House.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;span&#x3E;Even though the GOP was well on its way to being in shambles before Trump decided to throw his hat in, he may end up being the unintended savior of this battered political faction. Republicans would likely unite to reform the party and to clean up the mess that they never saw coming; they would have to act quickly before Trump sets off disasters such as starting a war, trying to build a wall, keeping Muslims out, and other preposterous ideas he seems to be serious about.&#xA0;&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;br&#x3E;
&#x3C;span&#x3E;If Donald Trump gets elected through a complete fluke and disruption of destiny, his feeble attempts to enact his ludicrous campaign promises would hopefully bring the good people of the U.S. together against his administration.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
