<title>What&#x2019;s Love Got To Do With It?: Musings on the Democratic Primary</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/10/29/1442534/-What-s-Love-Got-To-Do-With-It-Musings-on-the-Democratic-Primary</link>
<description>
&#x3C;p&#x3E;I am a socialist. I am also a Democrat. I suppose that makes me a &#x201C;Democratic Socialist&#x201D; &#x2013; drum roll please! I will be voting for Bernie Sanders in the primary, but I concede it is possible and perhaps even likely that Hillary Clinton will win the primary. If that is the case, I will vote for Hillary Clinton in the general --- even though she is not a socialist --- because her brand of &#x2018;compassionate&#x2019; capitalism is more palatable to me than the raw social Darwinism that the Republican Party is selling. However, as is often the case, the approaching election has caused me to engage in some musings that I&#x2019;ve been inspired to share.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Daily Kos is Inferior </title>

<description>
&#x3C;p&#x3E;Daily Kos is Inferior...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;At this point in time, I still can not understand why Kos is limiting public discussion to the simplistic &#x22;I Agree With This Person&#x22; vs. &#x22;This Person&#x27;s Opinion&#x27;s Need To Be Censored&#x22; Format....&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>I don&#x27;t post insghtful diaries</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/4/14/495862/-I-don-t-post-insghtful-diaries</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;But I will post a tribute to Hillary Clinton&#x27;s blue collar supporters, only because the late hour makes me feel snarky. So, vilify me all you want MSM. And &#x27;cling&#x27; to this song, rural America.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Something To Be Angry About (Besides Hillary Clinton)</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/4/14/495762/-Something-To-Be-Angry-About-Besides-Hillary-Clinton</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Not much of a diary, just some silly diversion. But this Pachelbel rant is something we can channel our anger towards, besides Clinton, for a moment.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Lift Every Voice and Sing</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/4/4/489891/-Lift-Every-Voice-and-Sing</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I don&#x27;t have much to say. I just wanted to share with the Daily Kos community the lyrics to, and a quite beautiful rendention of, the song &#x27;Lift Every Voice and Sing&#x27;. Its one of my favorite poems. In fact its blended acknowledgement of so many aspects of the human condition, &#x26;nbsp;though epitomized through black experience in America, makes it on of the most inspiring and life affirming pieces I&#x27;ve ever come across.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Affirmative Action</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/3/28/480113/-Affirmative-Action</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;In order to achieve &#x26;lsquo;A More Perfect Union&#x26;rsquo; we must be willing to address some issues with honesty, integrity, empathy and knowledge. Of course one of the most divisive issues in this nation is race. How do we balance the need to address the real inequalities our legacy of chattel slavery, segregation, and social stigmatization have created while simultaneously aspiring to create a nation where no in discriminated against due to the color of their skin or held unduly accountable for the sins of their father?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
