<title>A (!) at the end.</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/11/5/654927/-A-at-the-end</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;This is my first diary post. &#x26;nbsp;I&#x27;ve read the &#x27;kos for three years or so, but never felt obliged to contribute.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;ve been volunteering at my local Obama office, in Kalispell Montana since it popped up shortly after the primary. &#x26;nbsp;I&#x27;ve gotten to know our kickass field organizer, a young genius Ryan Stern. &#x26;nbsp;If you are a F.O. for the Obama campaign in MT, you are going to get screwed with. &#x26;nbsp;That&#x27;s a given. &#x26;nbsp;He has taken the rantings of dozens of ignorant f*cktards for months, with dignity and professionalism. &#x26;nbsp;Yesterday we finished strong. &#x26;nbsp;I did ten walklists, starting at 6 am and ending 15 minutes before the polls closed. &#x26;nbsp;Returning to the office, I heard them call PA and OH and other states. &#x26;nbsp;We knew we had it in the bag. Then the phone rang, and I could hear screaming on the line. &#x26;nbsp;A smile crept acoss his face and for the first time in months, he could say exactly what he wanted. &#x26;nbsp;&#x22;I don&#x27;t have to listen to your racist bullshit anymore.&#x22; &#x26;nbsp;He hung up the phone and we walked around the corner to the bar to celebrate. &#x26;nbsp;Vandals trashed every car in town (mine included) that had an Obama sticker, but I&#x27;m way to happy to care. &#x26;nbsp;We almost got Montana, and I take a lot of pride in that.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
