<title>au revoir Sandy, thank you Susan</title>

<description>
I&#x27;m truly sorry for the wonderful people of New Jersey and New York who will be missing &#x22;the shore&#x22; as it was. I am a better person for having spent shore time in the summers that have been. I&#x27;m sure you will rebuild and recreate starting 5 minutes ago, but still, it will be missed.
&#x3C;p&#x3E;Go Away Sandy.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;That&#x27;s my number. As in i&#x27;m 13 generations removed from my ancestor who stepped off a wooden ship from England and was a founding citizen of Portsmouth Rhode Island. He seems to have been a good man. He was asked to council with the Wampanoag chief the English called &#x22;Prince Phillip&#x22;. His descendants were farmers and many generations are buried there on Aquidneck Island. I have washed up on the other shore of America in California.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>happy holidays</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/12/24/818853/-happy-holidays</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;The headline in the Huff Post reads, &#x22;Senate signs Health Care Bill.&#x22;
&#x3C;br /&#x3E;Why does it make me nauseous. As someone who just lost my health insurance, i&#x27;d rather have a flaming bag of poop on my doorstep than this hot mess.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Speaking of health insurance, we received a letter from Aetna telling us to &#x22;please do not send payment, your cancellation has already been processed.&#x22; I have a holiday wish for Aetna too. Hold the down elevator please!&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;For all the Republicans who obstructed health care reform with every move they made, Hell has a special place for them too.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;And last but not least for the Obama administration who now says they never campaigned on the public option, Huh??? Really??? Is that the way you want to play?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Last night we got a phone call from the DNC group pushing this mess. I started to tell the man how colossally disappointed I was and he said &#x22;i understand&#x22; and he quickly hung up on me! Happy Holidays to him too. I hope with all my heart that he got a lot of that last night. I hope that all across the country we are letting the administration know how bad a stink comes from a public mandate to buy health insurance from private companies.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;This &#x22;health care&#x22; bill is so colossally bad that somebody should just take it out back and bury it. It&#x27;s making me sick.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>working without a safety net</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/12/22/818014/-working-without-a-safety-net</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;My families&#x27; health insurance is gone.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;With a whimper, not a bang. It just takes lesser place on the budget than keeping the lights on. We got to the point where we were paying late every month for a lousy policy. For a couple of months Aetna gave us a call to remind us of a late status, but then no call last month and that was right after they announced they&#x27;d be cutting out some customers this year to make their profits fatter. Not that they were giving us anything for our money.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;It&#x27;s a protection racket they&#x27;re running. We can&#x27;t afford it anymore. I don&#x27;t think they&#x27;d bother to hire someone to break my kneecaps with a bat, so that&#x27;s good.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;So, why are we the only country in the developed world without free to citizens health care? I forget...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Too Big To Fail And Other Myths</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/12/2/810227/-Too-Big-To-Fail-And-Other-Myths</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;There&#x27;s no too big to fail! Just think a little deeper and it will occur to you that it&#x27;s time for big to fail. Executives across the board should be in the food stamp line. They had their chance and gosh darn it, they screwed the pooch. There is a class of parasites sitting on the backs of American middle class types that have failed and need to be punished.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;For those of you who have been sucking up to your bosses and whose noses are brown brown brown, you&#x27;re not getting a piece of the pie. The folks you have put your faith in have sucked all the cream off the top and are now fat, and you are headed for a cliff and don&#x27;t even know it.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Thanks to us we have Obama who can make things incrementally better but who apparently is also a prisoner of the war machine for the next three (8?) years. Good luck to him when he tries to deliver us from eternal war, or will he even try?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;My wife, the amazing singer ML Parr plans to sing &#x3C;strong&#x3E;&#x22;Dancing in the Street&#x22; &#x3C;/strong&#x3E;from every street corner in the locale starting when Barack Hussein Obama becomes the President Elect of these United States of America. I will accompany on guitar, kazoo, and bongos...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>republican governance</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/8/30/580652/-republican-governance</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;The modern GOP does not believe in government and proves it with incompetence in office. GOP administrations have been gutting and terminating ability of regulatory agencies to protect and serve the American people. Why else would they put forward Reagan, Bush and Bush, and now Johnny McCain with his new sidekick Gov. Palin?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;The rank irresponsibility of adding Ms. Palin to the ticket, a completely unqualified hockey mom, only makes sense in this light. They don&#x27;t believe in governance. They prove it every day.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Fans of War, irresponsible spending, and cronyism should be cheering wildly. &#x26;nbsp;The era of GOP incompetence continues, for now.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;It is time for a change.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Reagunz the great</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/18/439005/-Reagunz-the-great</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Obama sez that Prez Reagan was a great one for giving America a new direction. Seems to me that is a very neo-con thing to say in an election. Is he trying to win the mindless reactionary vote that is comfortable with that opinion because it&#x27;s safe? Jeez, talk about playing hardball! I&#x27;m with John Edwards when he says he will never use Reaguns as a positive reference.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;March 4, 2008&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;VT voters seem to be the only ones who remember this Iraq shame and crime and pointless waste of American heroism pouring our blood into the sands of that miserable motherfarking desert...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;it&#x27;s the economy stupid
&#x3C;br /&#x3E;IT&#x27;S THE STUPID WAR!&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;They&#x27;ve got it right in Vermont, It&#x27;s the war and the economy.
&#x3C;br /&#x3E;I&#x27;ll have a double scoop of Cherry Garcia with hot fudge whip cream chopped almonds and a motherfuching cherry!!!&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
