<title>Time To Crash The Gates</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/11/16/1600202/-Time-To-Crash-The-Gates</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Don&#x27;t hold your nose to vote for the less worse.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;You want a movement, don&#x27;t&#xA0;sell yourself out. Don&#x27;t accept less in face of worse.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;You know what&#x27;s great, that constitution. The right to gather, the right to unions. The right to privacy,&#xA0;the right to abortion. The right to speech, the right for us to do this.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;We lost the election. Fair and square. Good, burn that part of the Party to the ground. We don&#x27;t need that. We don&#x27;t want that.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Its no longer &#x201C;hey libs, join it or leave it&#x201D;.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;DNC, Markos, you join it or you&#xA0;leave it.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Nate Silver Remains King</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/11/9/1595410/-Nate-Silver-Remains-King</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;The thing about a 30% chance, is that 3 in 10 times it happens. That&#x27;s math.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x201C;Nate is manipulating data&#x201D;, followed by an instant uprated voted by dozens of fools.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I tried to avoid politics today, but even on ESPN, they gave Nate shit for predicting Trump would lose.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;And YOU gave him shit for giving Trump a chance.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Not only were Nates models right, but his analysis was right too. If one key state was likely to be wrong, so were the rest of them.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Hes being buried in the MSM, he went up in my mind.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Sam Wang? Bye, Felicia.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Things I&#x27;ve Learned</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/11/9/1595401/-Things-I-ve-Learned</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Just an all over the place&#xA0;rant.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;My last communication with my best friend, who is disabled and a Trump voter,&#xA0;was him texting&#xA0;&#xA0;&#x201C;its over, let&#x27;s be friends again&#x201D;,&#xA0;and me replying with a link to job hiring classifieds. While funny, I was wrong.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Women and minorities voted Trump. I&#x27;ve seen the blogs and diaries that said &#x201C;nope&#x201D;, but stats are what they are, they didn&#x27;t turn out and when they did, they voted Trump more than anyone thought. Not that minories or women are to &#x201C;blame&#x201D;, because that&#x27;s ridiculous.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Markos. &#x201C;Bernie, Bernie, Warren, Jones, Bernie, Liberal, Bernie, Black People, Bernie&#x201D;. STFU you fraud. You know what was successful?&#xA0;Your sports sites after you sold them.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;We were good soldiers. I was never Bernie or Bust, Bernie was a shit candidate. My wife could testify I literally cried upon losing last night. That said, the person who won the D was a fraud, phony and an embarrassment. The &#x201C;emails&#x201D; are a joke, what&#x27;s not a joke is feeding a candidate questions in a debate. And War.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I feel better. Thank you for your time.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>I Hate The GOP</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/8/25/1563955/-I-Hate-The-GOP</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;m open minded, I think. If someone posts an opinion or a link to something contrarian, I&#x27;ll gladly read it and form my own opinion, even after 20 different recipes for pie have long been posted.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Not always, but I usually come to the same conclusion of the consensus here. It&#x27;s why I&#x27;m here, I belong under the tent.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Which leads to the point. Guilt by association.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;If the consensus of this website was something morally reprehensible, I would not post here. If the owner of this website was a prejudice scum, I would not post here. If the basis for this website was something I didn&#x27;t believe in, I would not post here.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;At some point it goes from guilt by association, to you are the association. If you are hesitant to condemn David Duke, if you have white supremacist delegates, if the one you&#xA0;worship started&#xA0;their campaign in Neshoba County based on &#x201C;states&#x2019; rights&#x22;, then I hate you.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;That is the GOP&#x2019;s association. And they&#x27;re guilty of it.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Sure, Gold Star families, babies, the Pope&#xA0;and&#xA0;POWs are easy game. Who doesn&#x27;t hate and&#xA0;insult those losers?&#xA0;He&#x27;s going to take his game to the next level, we all know it. So...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>You Know What I Love? America</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/7/28/1553512/-You-Know-What-I-Love-America</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;What a fucking wonderful, weird, and great country we are. A woman for candidate is ground breaking and historic,&#xA0;a literal troll doll as the opponent is&#xA0;fantastic. Would anybody be surprised if he has someone write&#xA0;a GBCW speech for him before election?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;Since I&#x27;ve been an adult, and for what I understand the generation before me, the basic premise of the GOP is &#x201C;we are the pro-American Party&#x201D;. It still echoes to this day in my experience.&#xA0;&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;The times, they are a-changin.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;We are the pro-America Party now. Period.&#xA0;&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;This isn&#x27;t a subject to hide away or shy from anymore. Embrace the love for this country. We are America. We want and believe in this country and in what this country believes.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;It&#x2019;s not just defeating Trump, it&#x27;s a dagger in the GOP.&#xA0;&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;Our Party&#x2019;s principles and core beliefs coincide with this country. Not just on a nuanced level anymore, but in a way the average Joe or Jane relate.&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;span&#x3E;Their &#x201C;strength&#x201D;, the soul of their Party is ours. If you don&#x27;t know a lot about politics, and you don&#x27;t want to know a lot, you just want to vote America, you vote Democratic from now on.&#xA0;&#x3C;/span&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Run with it. America, 2016!&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>I&#x27;m A Proud Athiest</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/7/23/1551603/-I-m-A-Proud-Athiest</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;How is outright hateful and evil bigotry shrugged off?&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;em&#x3E;He had skated on saying he has a Jewish heritage. I think I read he is an atheist. This could make several points difference with my peeps. My Southern Baptist peeps would draw a big difference between a Jew and an atheist.&#x3C;/em&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;This is what I&#x27;m supposed to fight for? What I&#x27;m supposed to side with? To donate to?&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;This ain&#x27;t me. This is disgusting. Utter slime ball filth bigotry. I don&#x27;t want my name anyway associated with this bigoted&#xA0;hate.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;The majority opinion seems to be to excuse, to &#x201C;HR&#x201D; or to attack the person posting anything acknowledging this. So go for it. Take your stand. I&#x27;ll take mine. It makes my soul want to vomit.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;How dare anyone attack me, my friends, my neighbors or my family for their religion, or lack thereof.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I understand Hillary didn&#x27;t use this line of attack. This blog is not an attack against Hillary either, so save it.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x2019;m embarrassed. What would the reaction be if it was gay shaming, black shaming, Muslim shaming?&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;It&#x27;s not going to change my vote for President. I understand. I have a young one, I&#x27;ll do my duty for him.&#xA0;It does make me reconsider my life long Party affiliation. It makes me angry at a lot of this site too.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Unions: Not Just A Fight For Marriage</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/7/9/1546912/-Unions-Not-Just-A-Fight-For-Marriage</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;When it comes to workers rights, wages, family, Liberalism, Feminism, equality, life, safety,&#xA0;health care, and a lot of things that impact the average man or woman on a day to day basis, there are Unions. This has impacted our lives monumentally. And yet,&#xA0;it&#x27;s largely a forgotten word.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;From thinkprogress.&#xA0;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2012/09/03/789301/reasons-thank-unions-labor-day/&#x22; target=&#x22;_blank&#x22;&#x3E;thinkprogress.org/...&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;strong&#x3E;1. Unions Gave Us The Weekend:&#x3C;/strong&#x3E;&#xA0;Even the ultra-conservative Mises Institute notes that the relatively labor-free 1870, the average workweek for most Americans was&#xA0;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://mises.org/daily/1590&#x22; title=&#x22;&#x22;&#x3E;61 hours&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#xA0;&#x2014; almost double what most Americans work now. Yet in the late nineteenth century and the twentieth century, labor unions engaged in&#xA0;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h1678.html&#x22;&#x3E;massive strikes&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#xA0;in order to demand shorter workweeks so that Americans could be home with their loved ones instead of constantly toiling for their employers with no leisure time. By&#xA0;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.dol.gov/oasam/programs/history/flsa1938.htm&#x22;&#x3E;1937&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, these labor actions created enough political momentum to pass the Fair Labor Standards Act, which helped create a federal framework for a shorter workweek that included room for leisure time.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;strong&#x3E;2. Unions Helped End Child Labor:&#x3C;/strong&#x3E;&#x201C;Union organizing and child labor reform were often intertwined&#x201D; in U.S. history, with organizations like the &#x201C;National Consumers&#x2019; League&#x201D; and the &#x201C;National Child Labor Committee&#x201D; working together in the early 20th century to ban child labor. The very first American Federation of Labor (AFL) national convention passed &#x201C;a resolution calling on states to&#xA0;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.continuetolearn.uiowa.edu/laborctr/child_labor/about/us_history.html&#x22;&#x3E;ban children under 14 from all gainful employment&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#x201D; in 1881, and soon after states across the country adopted similar recommendations, leading up to the 1938 Fair Labor Standards Act which regulated child labor on the federal level for the first time.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;strong&#x3E;3. Unions Won Widespread Employer-Based Health Coverage:&#x3C;/strong&#x3E;&#xA0;&#x201C;The rise of unions in the 1930&#x2019;s and 1940&#x2019;s led to the first great expansion of health care&#x201D; for all Americans, as labor unions banded workers together to negotiate for health coverage plans from employers. In 1942, &#x201C;the US set up a National War Labor Board. It had the power to set a cap on all wage increases. But it let employers circumvent the cap by offering &#x2018;fringe benefits&#x2019; &#x2013; notably, health insurance.&#x201D; By 1950, &#x201C;half of all companies with fewer than 250 workers and&#xA0;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.truth-out.org/121508R&#x22;&#x3E;two-thirds&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#xA0;of all companies with more than 250 workers offered health insurance of one kind or another.&#x201D;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;strong&#x3E;4. Unions Spearheaded The Fight For The Family And Medical Leave Act:&#x3C;/strong&#x3E;Labor unions like the AFL-CIO federation led the fight for this 1993 law, which &#x201C;&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.aflcio.org/issues/workfamily/fmla.cfm&#x22;&#x3E;requires state agencies&#x3C;/a&#x3E;&#xA0;and private employers with more than 50 employees to provide up to 12 weeks of job-protected unpaid leave annually for workers to care for a newborn, newly adopted child, seriously ill family member or for the worker&#x2019;s own illness.&#x201D;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Nobody gives 2 shits about unions anymore. Maybe, a slight exception during primary season and how an&#xA0;endorsement will matter in votes. But nobody actually cares.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;We are being dealt a death blow on a core and&#xA0;fundamental progressive belief, and a liberal blog doesn&#x27;t care. At all.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;We choose what and how we fight for. The death of unions is on us.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Ronald Goldman would be 47, soon to be 48 now.&#xA0;Ms. Brown would&#x27;ve just turned 58 a month ago.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;On June 10th, 1994, O.J. Simpsom stabbed them repeatedly until they died.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;We have grown so little.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;It&#x27;s so old news! So 90s! They would be in their 50&#x2019;s. They are dead. From Simpson.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;We gave a murderer a free pass, not based on his deeds or his character, but based upon character of others.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I was young, but cheered internally upon the verdict.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I was wrong.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Nobody worthwhile disagrees who did it now. It&#x27;s a fact, or theory, with more conclusive evidence than gravity.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Everyone agrees O.J.&#xA0;actually murdered innocent people, and disagree what should come of it.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;The defense is now, and I&#x27;ve heard it so many times, &#x201C;you&#x27;re upset about this, but not about&#xA0;(insert blank).&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Fuck that.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;And to,&#xA0;WTF is your point? A) There&#x27;s a really good documentary on it. B) Somebody killed people, still important.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Life Is Complicated</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/6/14/1538840/-Life-Is-Complicated</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Born and raised in Pennsylvania, now living in New York, I visited Florida once in my life a decade ago. I&#x27;m the median&#xA0;American statistically. White. Straight. Male. Upper 30&#x2019;s. 40k a year income. &#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;One of my very best friends was from High School,&#xA0;I became roommates with him at 17. Our group, and he himself, joked about him being gay then. We didn&#x27;t actually know he was gay then.&#xA0;Or at least I didn&#x27;t.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I don&#x27;t particularly feel bad for my conduct. It wasn&#x27;t mean spirited, ever. It was the 90&#x2019;s, I was young and&#xA0;&#x201C;gay&#x201D; was an insult like &#x201C;dork&#x201D;.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Life is complicated. Stuff I said then could borderline be considered a hate speech. But there was never any hate in my heart.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;He lives in Orlando now. I found out about what happened from Facebook, and his posting a deep and&#xA0;thoughtful short&#xA0;comment on it.&#xA0;Then his check into the &#x201C;safe&#x201D; thing Facebook set up.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;We tend to look at a subject, and take it a position on it and argue it to the extreme.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Life is fucking complicated.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;There is a&#xA0;disappropriate&#xA0;number of attacks on America and our friends by people of or with connections&#xA0;to the Islamic faith. And it is not a coincidence.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;It should be okay&#xA0;to say the above. It&#x27;s fact. Life is complicated man.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Most Muslims condemn this. And we can point to times in history where it has been another religion. The Crusades killed more.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;It feels like deflection. And it fucking sucks.&#xA0;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>The Art Of Losing</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/2/26/841195/-The-Art-Of-Losing</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;The Republicans as a team are winners. &#x26;nbsp;The Democratics as a team are losers. &#x26;nbsp;They have mastered how to turn the worst situation into a winner, and we have mastered how to turn the best situation into a loser.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Why is this?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Help Stop This Socialist Takeover</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/2/12/836618/-Help-Stop-This-Socialist-Takeover</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Dear Friends, Enemies, and Canadians,&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;If you&#x27;re like me, nothing has your lid more flipped than this socialist takeover we&#x27;ve witnessed before our very eyes these past 13 months.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I ask you, my fellow freedom fighters, to do as like Sarah Palin&#x27;s favorite Founding Mother did, and Just Say No.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;How do we Just Say No, you, my fellow true believers in amerIca, might ask.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Well, this is simple. &#x26;nbsp;We boycott (never fails) everything our socialist government has had a hand in.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Just Burn The Damn Flag Already</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/10/1/788700/-Just-Burn-The-Damn-Flag-Already</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Dear Fringe Republicans,&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;So, at the top of Drudge at the moment you have the open rooting against the United States to get the Olympic games and for Rio to get them.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Headlines such as:&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;em&#x3E;&#x22;CHICAGOLAND: Another boy critically beaten: &#x27;Blood all over street&#x27;...&#x22;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x22;Six arrested in Olympic protest gone wrong...&#x22;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x22;Will tepid support derail city&#x27;s chances?&#x22;&#x3C;/em&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;and...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;em&#x3E;&#x22;Rio goes on offensive...&#x22;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x22;Declares holiday for Olympics announcement...&#x22;&#x3C;/em&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Go Rio?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Then in the splash portion you have the DOW &#x22;TUMBLE&#x22;.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Nevermind that the DOW has had a record shattering 6-month stretch, this is the first time in 6 months he chose to feature it.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Go tumble?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Obama: Then And Now</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/12/3/669024/-Obama-Then-And-Now</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;There&#x27;s been some hoopla in the traditional media -- and a vocal minority right here on DailyKos -- saying that either Obama&#x27;s policy has shifted to the center-right, or about how his appointments are a predicator of such. &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;For the sake of having little else to do, I went searching for &#x3C;strong&#x3E;his pre and post election positions &#x3C;/strong&#x3E;on a few subjects in the news recently to compare. &#x26;nbsp;I anxiously await your thoughts, comments, and maybe some pooties.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;After the fold...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Incredible Final Georgia Early Voting Numbers</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/11/1/649024/-Incredible-Final-Georgia-Early-Voting-Numbers</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;An incredible final day of early voting in Georgia took place yesterday, where 227,851 people cast their votes. &#x26;nbsp;Although most expect the final percentage of black vote in the state to decline from what it currently is, incredibly the final day of early voting brought an increase, with nearly 37% of the Friday voters being African-American.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Nearly 2 million people have voted in Georgia so far, representing over 60% of the total 2004 electorate and over 3 times what the early and absentee vote consisted of in the prior Presidential election. &#x26;nbsp;Perhaps most incredibly, compared to 2004 levels, 80% of blacks have already gone to the polls, withstanding lines hours on end, to make sure their voices would be heard.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Full statistics and early voting pics after the jump.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Flashback: Obama In 2005</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/10/17/634071/-Flashback-Obama-In-2005</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x3C;em&#x3E;Hey all - let me preface this by saying I&#x27;m not sure if this is a legit diary, and if I get complaints, I will make it disappear.&#x3C;/em&#x3E;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I was reliving the final debate in my head today, thinking about the accusation made by McCain against Obama that he never takes on his own Party. &#x26;nbsp;I remembered lurking at this place called DailyKos back in &#x27;05 where people wrote stuff, and being redirected a number of times since then to a blog entry by Barack Obama, which was technically on John Roberts, but was essentially taking on the blogosphere in their way of looking at things - but in that always respectful and intellectual way that only Barack can do it.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;m sure there&#x27;s many newbies that have never read it, and the piece is really a fascinating piece and I found it truly amazing to look back in time and see the consistency and conviction in his overall message and way of doing things that so few modern politicians have (much like reading &#x3C;em&#x3E;The Audacity of Hope&#x3C;/em&#x3E;). &#x26;nbsp;If the question is &#x27;&#x27;who is Barack Obama&#x27;&#x27;, then the answer is over the fold.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Adventures In Pennsyltucky</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9/12/596659/-Adventures-In-Pennsyltucky</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;The &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.albionfair.com/&#x22;&#x3E;Albion Fair&#x3C;/a&#x3E; is your typical rural western Pennsylvania fair. &#x26;nbsp;There&#x27;s loads of carnival games, ranging from Shoot out the Star to Balloon Darts to Ski Ball, and lots of grilled food too - buffalo burgers, bison steaks and the like. &#x26;nbsp;Seven barns are packed full of animals brought in from all over western Pennyslvania and eastern Ohio - horses, cows, goats, and what must&#x27;ve been 1,000 rabbits. &#x26;nbsp;This is why we went, my wife wanted to see some clydesdales. &#x26;nbsp;There&#x27;s entertainment too. &#x26;nbsp;When we were there - perhaps surprisingly - it was a modern pop band, but looking at the &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.albionfair.com/pages/program_events.html&#x22;&#x3E;schedule of events&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, it featured the type of entertainment that one might expect.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/8/5/550605/-I-Dare-You-Punch-Me-In-The-Face</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Last week we saw John McCain release negative &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfXvK84MPqQ&#x22;&#x3E;ad&#x3C;/a&#x3E; after negative &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49hC9TpP_rY&#x22;&#x3E;ad&#x3C;/a&#x3E; after negative &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mopkn0lPzM8&#x22;&#x3E;ad&#x3C;/a&#x3E;. &#x26;nbsp;All the while, to the cries of many supporters, the Obama campaign only released a late token &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1185304443/bctid1699177111&#x22;&#x3E;old politics&#x3C;/a&#x3E; ad and another &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHMbwk6CDLE&#x22;&#x3E;energy contrast ad&#x3C;/a&#x3E; that wasn&#x27;t even released for the media to play. &#x26;nbsp;That seemed to lead to a small uptick in the polls for McCain and a &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/8/4/102658/5428&#x22;&#x3E;complete meltown on DailyKos&#x3C;/a&#x3E;. &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
