<title>To Keith Olbermann: where&#x27;s the impeachment story?</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/6/9/533066/-To-Keith-Olbermann-where-s-the-impeachment-story</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I know Kucinich&#x27;s Bush impeachment articles have already been diaried (first thread &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/6/9/191519/7181/915/533004&#x22;&#x3E;here&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, second thread &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/6/9/202418/9179/910/533033&#x22;&#x3E;here&#x3C;/a&#x3E;), and I know that some people are wont to shrug it off because Kucinich is the one doing it, but I implore all of you to nonetheless &#x3C;strong&#x3E;rec this diary up and comment below if you feel this story needs more media attention.&#x3C;/strong&#x3E; &#x26;nbsp;I am addressing the title to Keith Olbermann personally because I think he&#x27;s our best hope of getting this story any major media coverage...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;The early episode of Countdown did not mention the story, and now (I&#x27;m flipping back and forth between CSPAN and MSNBC) Dan Abrams is talking to girlpundits about the Clinton-Vanity Fair piece. &#x26;nbsp;This is ridiculous. &#x26;nbsp;We have the power to give the impeachment story legs.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;If you agree this is a cause worth blogging for, then please spread the word and rec this up.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Obama responds to Clinton RFK remark</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/24/522175/-Obama-responds-to-Clinton-RFK-remark</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;From a Puerto Rico &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.foxnews.com/urgent_queue/index.html#322ffdf1,2008-05-24&#x22;&#x3E;radio interview&#x3C;/a&#x3E;.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;I have learned that when you are campaigning for as many months as Senator Clinton and I have been campaigning, sometimes you get careless in terms of the statements that you make and I think that is what happened here. Senator Clinton says that she did not intend any offense by it and I will take her at her word on that.
&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;It reminds me of her phrasing during the infamous 60 minutes interview where she says she takes Obama &#x22;at his word&#x22; that he&#x27;s not a Muslim. &#x26;nbsp;You know the Obama camp is, at this moment, sitting back in their desk chairs, watching the TV, unable to believe their eyes...they don&#x27;t even have to campaign in the primary anymore, with her imploding in front of everybody...&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>This Guy Is Not Welcome In My Democratic Party</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/13/514694/-This-Guy-Is-Not-Welcome-In-My-Democratic-Party</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;This Pennsylvania Mayor is a Democrat.
&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;In a letter to the editor published in a local paper, Tunkhannock Borough Mayor Norm Ball explained his support of Hillary Clinton this way: &#x22;Barack Hussein Obama and all of his talk will do nothing for our country. There is so much that people don&#x27;t know about his upbringing in the Muslim world. His stepfather was a radical Muslim and the ranting of his minister against the white America, you can&#x27;t convince me that some of that didn&#x27;t rub off on him.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x22;No, I want a president that will salute our flag, and put their hand on the Bible when they take the oath of office.&#x22;
&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;To paraphrase &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/5/12/114237/630/544/513035&#x22;&#x3E;dawnt&#x3C;/a&#x3E;, is &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/05/13/politics/washingtonpost/main4090746_page2.shtml&#x22;&#x3E;this&#x3C;/a&#x3E; welcome in our Democratic Party? &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Another reason to move on: Myanmar</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/7/511142/-Another-reason-to-move-on-Myanmar</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;It&#x27;s time for Team Clinton to fold their tent and Bill to get back on the road with George H.W. Bush for disaster relief. &#x26;nbsp;While the punditocracy is atwitter with rekindled Obamania, &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5greyFH3qkj9mc9oagSoulgjN4KHgD90GUV2G1&#x22;&#x3E;this&#x3C;/a&#x3E; is happening right under our noses:&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;YANGON, Myanmar (AP) &#x26;mdash; Bodies floated in flood waters and survivors tried to reach dry ground on boats using blankets as sails, while the top U.S. diplomat in Myanmar said Wednesday that up to 100,000 people may have died in the devastating cyclone.
&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
&#x3C;/blockquote&#x3E;
&#x3C;p&#x3E;That&#x27;s more than 50 times the number of deaths from Hurricane Katrina. &#x26;nbsp;It&#x27;s nearly half the number of people killed in the 2004 tsunami that wrecked Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and other countries along the Indian Ocean. &#x26;nbsp;And what are we doing about it?&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Obama still needs 10,000 donors--you know what to do! [Updated]</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/5/509362/-Obama-still-needs-10-000-donors-you-know-what-to-do-Updated</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;The donor ticker at &#x3C;a href=&#x22;https://donate.barackobama.com/page/contribute/standard?source=feature_1.5m&#x22;&#x3E;Obama&#x27;s website&#x3C;/a&#x3E; is hovering at 1,490,467. &#x26;nbsp;The campaign is stumping for 1,500,000 donors by May 6. &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;While each election this season has felt like the endgame, we know that this one really could change the game altogether--and knock Hillary Clinton out.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Just think of the support we marshaled for &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/5/1/82224/80675&#x22;&#x3E;Ben Chandler&#x3C;/a&#x3E;. &#x26;nbsp;What if we made one final fundraising push for Barack Obama going into the IN and NC primaries?

&#x3C;br /&#x3E;&#x3C;strong&#x3E;[updated 11:42 AM CST] &#x3C;/strong&#x3E;See my info for donors and the comments below--&#x3C;strong&#x3E;Wee Mama and BDsTrinity AND royce will be donating a dollar for every first-time donor who posts below&#x3C;/strong&#x3E; (up to a hundred bucks each), so if you can, please donate and let us know! &#x26;nbsp;Rec this up, folks!&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Obama Ads I&#x27;d Like To See--Open Thread for Brainstorming</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5/4/508858/-Obama-Ads-I-d-Like-To-See-Open-Thread-for-Brainstorming</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;Recently, I was saddened to hear that &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/04/30/new-clinton-ad-stars-maya-angelou/&#x22;&#x3E;Maya Angelou stars in a commercial for Hillary&#x3C;/a&#x3E; currently broadcasting in North Carolina, which bummed me out nearly as much as the &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://weblogs.newsday.com/news/local/longisland/politics/blog/2008/02/hrc_gets_support_from_the_late.html&#x22;&#x3E;&#x22;This One&#x27;s For Ann&#x22;&#x3C;/a&#x3E; ad the Clinton campaign aired in Texas. &#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;While I love Obama&#x27;s recent &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://youtube.com/watch?v=NZC0lvVoxSE&#x22;&#x3E;&#x22;Minute&#x22; ad&#x3C;/a&#x3E; (NC version &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://youtube.com/watch?v=7kYNKBXvq6c&#x22;&#x3E;here&#x3C;/a&#x3E;), billed as his closing argument to the people of Indiana and North Carolina, I think there are a few more ads he could use to &#x22;seal the deal&#x22; with voters on May 6. &#x26;nbsp;Follow me after the jump, I&#x27;ll list my picks and we can brainstorm together.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

<title>Rendell: Naive youth &#x22;drank the Kool-Aid of a great speech&#x22; [UPDATED w/ VIDEO]</title>
<link>https://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/4/21/500445/-Rendell-Naive-youth-drank-the-Kool-Aid-of-a-great-speech-UPDATED-w-VIDEO</link>
<description>&#x3C;p&#x3E;I am getting really, really sick of Ed Rendell. &#x26;nbsp;Check out what he said to young voters in Pennsylvania today...Ben Smith has &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0408/Rendell_ObamaKoolAid.html&#x22;&#x3E;posted the video at Politico&#x3C;/a&#x3E;. &#x26;nbsp;To view it at RedLasso, click &#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://www.redlasso.com/ClipPlayer.aspx?id=04f9d0aa-e622-4925-95e9-21ed4b9a8d2b&#x22;&#x3E;here&#x3C;/a&#x3E;.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;m not sure if this helps or hurts our chances tomorrow--in actuality, it will likely have little effect. &#x26;nbsp;But I guess Rendell&#x27;s statements might work to make insecure voters feel unsure or, more likely, older pro-Hillary people to indulge in smug attitudes toward Obama&#x27;s base, a problem we&#x27;re already going to have to remedy going into the general election. &#x26;nbsp;Thanks Ed, you schmuck.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;I&#x27;m going to see if I can get the RedLasso link embedded here. &#x26;nbsp;Also, I&#x27;ve posted my email response to Rendell after the jump.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;
