OK, here are the things I need assistance with:
#1 - I want to do something, a diary or a larger piece of writing likely, describing the plight of some victims of the "War on Drugs". I can not do this alone. In fact, I don't even know where to begin. Anyone want to work on this with me? In fact, the more people, the better. We could make it a group project. I know there are many concerned with the plight of black America - like Sirocco. Well, here's your chance!
#2 - I would like to encorporate an "action items" thing into my diaries. Shetquaker gave me this idea with a post with current action items. Can anyone help me keep current on action items? (I am busy writing and researching, so keeping current on these things is a little tough).
#3 - OK, this one is selfish. I want to be published - namely I want to write a book, but a magazine would be just fine as a start. Is anyone at all interesting in helping me - I need an editor, really. I'd even settle with co-writer credit, especially if this person wants to co-write and knows their stuff, like Tirge Caps. I wrote about this a couple of times but got no response. I just wanted to make certain that no one is interested.
Once again, sorry to bug you guys, your loyalty and kind words has been extremely gratifying, and this is a one-time-only deal.
While I am doing this, I want to take the time to thank all the extremely wonderful people who have followed my work, and have helped bring focus to this issue. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
BTW, ben masel has written several drug policy diaries. Here are the current ones he has posted about (I haven't read them just yet):
What to do when Bush get's it right?
Is AARP caving to Rightwing pressure?
From what I know of him, he has been on this issue from the very beginning, and he has my respect. Even if he cuts into my audience, this is about the issue, not me. Keep 'em coming, ben. :)
