Married Indiana Town Council members have Seized Control of City

Roseland, Indiana is a small town in north central Indiana that has been usurped by two married town counsel members: Dorothy and David Snyder. Why this hasn't hit the MSM I'll never know, but it's an amazing example of political power gone awry.

The two forced elections for town counsel president in July and ousted the current president in a 2-1 vote and the wife, Dorothy Snyder, took control of the town. Since then, residents have been arrested for protesting at the city hall and have been ticketed for signs that display messages demanding new elections to oust the Snyders. An unequivocal dictatorship has been established in Roseland. More below

The problems started when the Snyders set their focus on a small plumbing business of whom they had a distaste for one of the prospective buyers. As soon as this buyer purchased the business, the Snyders decided to use imminent domain to confiscate his land and his business (sorry, I can't find the link... the South Bend Tribune doesn't keep stories up that long but check out the links at the bottom for more detail on what else they've been doing to local businesses).

Then, it got crazy.

Before they forced elections for a new town president the snyders were running into obstacles with Dorothy's real estate business. She was purchasing land and, afterwards, her husband would rezone the land so she could rent them out.

I'm sorry there isn't much on this because it's absolutely amazing. They even went so far as to accept money from a Marriot and then, oddly enough, a Hilton found it very difficult to get a permit to build.

Outrageous. Spread the news, maybe this fiasco will get caught by the MSM and something can be done to save my little town.
Local media has done a two part piece which you can find part one here and part two here UPDATE I haven't been able to find their party affiliation and they aren't answering their phones... I'll keep trying for the curious.
