Problem for them is that these pictures store data for when they were taken. And the EXIF data for this picture shows it was taken on January 9, 2006 (with a Vivicam 8400), long before the botched joke which Ann Althouse falsely represents.

So, if a law professor is out there perpetuating falsehoods, are there any standards the university employs? Or is tenure license to lie?
(Now, it's possible the camera date was set to a January date when the actual date was in November or December. It's just not real plausible.)
*** UPDATE ***
It turns out the photo was taken on the date suggested. However, I still maintain that the right wing, including Althouse these days, lied about Kerry calling the troops "losers," and being shunned by the troops. The latter has been accepted by the wingers, to their minor credit, whereas the Republican partisans, including Althouse, continue to make false accusations against Democrats.
AND, why is a communication specialist for the military using his post for partisan purposes anyway? That's another question that doesn't get answered.
