There is another picture I want you to see before the billboard.
Connect these dots.
- John Colyandro who worked for Karl Rove was laundering Tom Delay's TRMPAC money while on Greg Abbott's campaign payroll during 2002.
- Colyandro has been indicted for money laundering and also faces 13 charges of unlawful acceptance of corporate political contributions.
- Bob Perry, tycoon homebuilder, has given Abbott $1.1Million.
- Perry is also financier of Karl Rove's smear campaign tactics.
- Abbott won't investigate the 86% of Texas homeowners whose home defects were not addressed by TRCC process.
- Abbott gave prompt legal clearance to Tom DeLay's flagrant power-grabbing redistricting scheme.
Rather than an Attorney General working for the people, you get a picture of corruption, cronyism, and an enabler of predatory corporations and monopolists.
An honorable, hard working Texas Attorney General looks like this:

An honorable, hard working Texas Attorney General would do this:
Calif. Demands Answers On Oil Prices
State Atty. General Asks CEOs To Explain Prices & Profit Margins
(CBS) California's Attorney General has begun hauling the CEOs of major oil companies into his office - demanding, in closed door sessions, that those executives tell him, under oath, why gas prices are higher in California than almost anywhere else in the nation.
"This is legal thievery in my view," California State Attorney General Bill Lockyer told CBS News correspondent Sandra Hughes. "It's because it's an oligopoly: it's when you have a handful of companies, seven exactly, that control almost the entire California market."
[snip]
The attorney general is also taking a hard look at refiners' profit margins, which soared by 130 percent at a time when the price of crude oil increased by 14 percent.
"Their claim is 'Oh, we're just passing along the world crude oil increase.' That's clearly not true," says Lockyer.
What is true, according to the California Energy Commission, is that estimated profits have risen from around 30 cents a gallon at the start of the year to about 94 cents per gallon now.

Press Release
Attorney General Vows Continued Fight Against 22 Percent CL&P Increase, Renews Call For Reform
December 22, 2005
"I have fought and will continue to fight this unconscionable rate hike as long and hard as possible, in every available forum. We will file a formal set of objections contesting a rate increase of this obscene magnitude and take other appropriate steps, beginning tomorrow. I will work with the governor, lawmakers, the DPUC, the Office of Consumer Counsel (OCC) and others in this battle.
"The underlying reason for this outrageous rate increase is that the present system of electricity pricing is deeply and fundamentally flawed and needs sweeping, deep-seated reform. The system is anti-competitive and anti-consumer, shrouded in secrecy and crippled by mindless, myopic federal policy.
David Van Os has served Notice to Big Oil right in their own back yard on Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas, Texas. AND HE MEANS IT!

Isn't it beautiful! Thank you bloggofriends!
We hope people will see this billboard and send campaign contributions and that it will give David the name recognition he needs. We certainly can't depend on the "corporate embedded media" for that. They are sticking their fingers in their ears and pretending that David Van Os is invisible.
Do I need to remind you how very important this particular race is to my son and me? This particular race is also important to all Texans and to all Americans! Hell! It's important to the whole world! We are morally obligated to clean this Texas mess up and make things right! However, we are all in this together and we do need your help.

The make ready cost for the billboard was very expensive as is the cost to keep it up. David and his family are traveling all over the state of Texas, and that is a lot of traveling. They are making huge personal sacrifices because they believe it is their duty. They are good citizens.
We too must be good citizens and invest in our government with our time our passion and our money. It takes money to wage a war and, make no mistake, we are at war!
$1,600 will extend this billboard another month.
If 160 people give just $10.01 today, we extend this billboard another month.
I am honored to be the first to give. Please join me!
UPDATE How to tell if your candidated is becoming a threat to the other side: David now has his own band of trolls who follow him around on every single diary. That's a good sign, I believe.
