The Ken Mehlman quote at the end is perfect, if you want to see why so many people want Lieberman gone.

And remember, this is time for the final push. Lieberman is spending $10 million and hiring 4,000 paid GOTV workers for election day. We won't be able to match that kind of money, but we've got volunteers.
So if you're in state or travelling to Connecticut to help out these last few days, click here for a list of resources.
And if you know anyone in Connecticut, tomorrow is the last day you can use the handy Family, Friends and Neighbors tool to send them a postcard about the race.
Update: Lieberman's camp slams the Times over its Lamont endorsement.
“What’s most unfortunate about [the editorial] is, most of the criticism of Lieberman in it is premised on a myth,” Gerstein tells this morning's New York Observer. “They were willing to cast aside a national leader with 18 years of experience and all his qualifications, and endorsed a cipher who’s not qualified to be a U.S. Senator, on the assumption that Joe Lieberman has not stood up to the Bush administration on a number of key issues. And it’s just not the case.”
Dan Gerstein is a joker (and unethical, given he was blogging on a pro-Lieberman blog without disclosing that he was a paid staffer to the Lieberman campaign). Given he's giving Lieberman advice, no wonder the Senator is hurting so badly.
Why would a campaign mention an endorsement of their opponent? Like Joe repeating attacks against him on the stump, these people are breaking the most basic rules of waging a political campaign. But they feel so entitled to the seat that they lash out at every bit of criticism, rather than focus on their own message. Bizarre.
