Mexico. Look. There's oil

Down south of the border, the Mexican state of Tabasco, about ten thousand square miles, with a population of almost 2 million is 80% covered by water. I've been watching dramatic rescue scenes

Water up to the roofs of houses. Tens of thousands are clinging to roofs

The entire city of Villahermosa, with a population of about 350,00 souls is underwater.

What about the oil? Tabasco provides something like 20% of Mexican oil and is home to a Refinery, which if not damaged, will most certainly lack workers.

A massive rescue operation is under way in the southern Mexican state of Tabasco after rains caused the worst flooding there in more than 50 years.
More than one million people are believed to be affected by the floods, and some 300,000 are thought to be trapped in their homes.
