The Jerusalem Post has reported a story that first surfaced on the Al Jazeera website (in Arabic only) this past Friday, stating that the mysterious September 6th raid on a suspected Syrian nuclear facility was in fact carried out by the US Air Force with the Israeli Air Force functioning in a support capacity. Previous reports had attributed the attack solely to Israeli forces.

The September 6 raid over Syria was carried out by the US Air Force, the Al-Jazeera Web site reported Friday. The Web site quoted Israeli and Arab sources as saying that two US jets armed with tactical nuclear weapons carried out an attack on a suspected nuclear site under construction.

The sources were quoted as saying that Israeli F-15 and F-16 jets provided cover for the US planes.

This incident has been hovering like a phantom in the US press for weeks now, with cloudy details slowly emerging. Who knows about the veracity of an Al Jazeera report with unnamed sources? But my question is why are none of the cowardly MSM outlets covering this potentially huge story?
