Pennsylvania continues to be fertile ground for gaining seats in the House for the Democrats. In 2006, we saw Jason Altmire (PA4), Joe Sestak (PA7), Patrick Murphy (PA8) and Chris Carney (PA10) defeat Republican incumbents. Sam Bennett is starting early to take on Republican Charlie Dent in 15th. Her background is impressive and we know that in 2006 Karl Rove thought Dent was vulnerable even though he faced a woefully underfinanced Democratic challenger. So while fertilizing the newbies of 2006 with funds (Altmire, Sestak, Murphy and Carny) so they can weather their first storm as incumbents, we should shower funds on Bennett too so she can sprout and be strong enough to prevail next year.
