BREAKING: Reid vows to block Olson

Majority Leader Harry Reid is on a roll today. Straight off the presses comes the wonderful news that Ted Olson for Attorney General is a NON STARTER.

"He's a partisan, and the last thing we need as an attorney general is a partisan," Reid told Reuters in a brief hallway interview on Capitol Hill.

Brief diary, need to get back to work, just wanted to share the good news.

Here's another fun quotation from our Majority Leader:

Congressional and administration officials have described Olson as a leading contender for the job as the nation's chief U.S. law enforcement officer, but Reid declared: "Ted Olson will not be confirmed by the Senate".

We all want the war to end, and we all have our legislative priorities, but for today at least, Harry Reid is a fighter, and an honorary Kossack (pending approval by the relevant authorities).
