At change.gov, the second round of "Open for Questions" began on 12/30 and ends at midnight on 12/31.
This action item is easy to do. The goal is to bump one particular question in the "Open for Questions" section of the Obama team's change.gov site by going there and voting for it.
This is the question we want to get to the top of the list:
"Will you appoint a Special Prosecutor - ideally Patrick Fitzgerald - to independently investigate the gravest crimes of the Bush Administration, including torture and warrantless wiretapping?"
Bob Fertik, New York City
There is no way to provide a link to a specific question on change.gov, so you'll need to do a little navigation to find it. There are several ways to do it, and other ways are mentioned in the articles I've cited and linked below, but I'll list below what I think is another simple way to find it.
All you have to do is:
- Go to change.gov and register (if you haven't already)
- Find the specific question we're promoting
- Vote for it
Finding the Question
Use this link to get to the current Open Questions section:
http://change.gov/...
In the left margin you'll see a list of categories:
Pick a topic:
Economy
...
...
Additional Issues
Click on Additional Issues.
You will see a list of questions and voting checkboxes. The question by "Bob Fertik" is currently in second place in the "Additional Issues" category.
"The Question" looks like this:
"Will you appoint a Special Prosecutor - ideally Patrick Fitzgerald - to independently investigate the gravest crimes of the Bush Administration, including torture and warrantless wiretapping?"
Bob Fertik, New York City
Vote for the Question
To vote for this question, (you need to be registered), click on the Checkmark next to the question (not the "X") and that's it.
Please consider joining me in making this your last act of netroots activism for 2008.
Cheers, and Happy New Year to all.
