This lady’s mom is in this house. No word from her since yesterday afternoon. Hundreds if not thousands of similar predicaments mentioned online.
I will update this as needed, because when the sun rises, we will get a full extent of the damage.

Orlando
For those of you who roll their eyes and think “Floriduh” deserves this, please don’t. Remember my baby brother’s favorite quote. You can follow my efforts on Twitter to help me coordinate information for those in need and support the @GCHS_Florida, (Gulf Coast Humane Society) a no-kill animal shelter in SW Florida, along with whatever emergency help we can send in the way of relief to victims.
And about me: My wife and I took a honeymoon to New Orleans and Gulfport in 2005, a little more than two months before Katrina hit. We met a lot of nice people. When we found out that some died for lack of gas money, it broke my heart in a way that never fully healed. Now, as then, not everyone who stayed had the means to leave. Thanks to technology I have more ability to communicate on behalf of people than then. I am going to use it.
Love to all,
