It’s Election Day in Georgia, again. In the runoff for US Senate, incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock (D, GA) faces challenger Herschel Walker (R, TX). Here’s what you need to know:
Voting
- Polls are open statewide from 7am to 7pm
- Everyone in line by 7pm has the right to cast a ballot (“if you are in line, stay in line!”)
- Voters can find their pollig place via iwillvote.com
- Voters need to present ID; here’s the full list of acceptable ID from the GA SOS’ website
- Voters over 75 & those with disabilities can skip to the front of the line between 9:30 am & 4:30 pm
- If you have any voting-related questions, you can call or text the Voter Protection Hotline at 1-888-730-5816
- Several organizations offer free round-trip rides to the polls: Ride2Vote, Voucher Code ‘VoteGA’ in the Uber app, Rides to the poll by The New Georgia Project,
