Last summer I wrote a story outlining how Missouri was not as far-right as its recent voting history made it seem, and that there was even a modest progressive streak that even the majority of state-level republicans seemed to acquiesce to.
We have additional confirmation of that today: Missouri abortion rights group collects enough signatures to advance ballot measure.
The key point is here:
Missourians for Constitutional Freedom, the group leading the ballot effort, announced it had collected signatures from more than 380,000 registered voters — more than the approximately 172,000 it needed to move forward with the process of qualifying their proposal for the ballot.
That’s a lot of signatures!
I predict it will win with at least a 55% ‘yes’ vote.
