Hi Everyone:
As we all know, getting folks engaged matters and we need to ensure that rural voters go out to support the candidates that fight for everyday people. Increased voter turnout results better results for statewide and federal candidates and helps ensure that Democratic candidates win! It also forces the GOP to spend in other areas as they continue to lose financial and volunteer support.
Supporting rural candidates it the key to accomplish those types of results. The rural candidate I am highlighting740 is Sean Steeg, former Huntingdon Borough Council Member, small business owner, and all-around good guy. He's a Defender of Democracy in the 81st District for PA House and wants to ensure that your rights are protected. He has a meet and greet fundraiser event coming up on May 24th at the Juniata Brewing Company and it begins at 5:30 PM. You can chip into his campaign here to make sure your spot is reserved (or just chip in to help out)! You can also sign up (and share) the event on Facebook! If you're unable to attend, you can still chip in or send donations to Juniata Brewing Company for them to hold to auction off for the event! They are also accepting canned goods for donations to the local food bank.
Progress Centre has announced their support of three rural Democrats in Central PA, and Sean Steeg is one of them! I ask that you click here to subscribe to Progress Centre's email list to get updates on how to get involved with the movement and directly with the campaigns. Currently, the group is working with folks in Centre County to help get individuals who are eligible to vote to be registered to vote.
To help grow Progress Centre. You can click here to volunteer or donate (they ask for $15 a month). You can also follow them on Instagram, X (Formerly Twitter), and Facebook! Soon, Progress Centre will also be announcing another event for other candidates as well.70
Thanks again for supporting the good work of defending democracy and I appreciate the forum to share this information.8
In Solidarity,
