So here are my thoughts about Ukraine- I like the old adage, “fool me once it’s on you, fool me twice it’s on me”. We should be honest and admit the truth- this problem didn’t start with Trump. China and Russia had red flags go off about the United States when they showed unity with the United States after 911 only for President George Walker Bush to change the plan midstream and go after Iraq rather than the nine Saudi’s who high jacked the plane. Iraq and Saudi Arabia are two different nations. That is what sent many nation states into high alert regarding the United States. Too boot, many service members and Iraqis were unjustifiably impacted. So then you have a situation in which nation states are implementing plans to never be fooled by the United States in this way again. [Enter Donald Trump]. It is true that Russia was wrong to use Trump,. It is also true that Biden voted for the Iraqi war. Biden doesn’t have clean hands in terms of what motivated other nations to take action. The reason China and Russia implemented plans is deeply rooted in a the war that Biden voted for. A war in which the United States saw the lives of thousands of our bravest lost due to the foolish Iraqi war that Biden voted for despite vast protests from individuals such as myself. “Fool me once” is how the old adage goes, right? Fast forward to October 2024 and Biden pledges unwavering support for Israel’s leader Benjamin Netanyahu who is a mad man actively engaging in the genocide of Palestinians paid for courtesy of US tax payers. The old adage goes, “…fool me twice it’s on me”. Biden chooses to continue his support for Israel therefore I can not in good conscious support the war in Israel or the war in Ukraine because in a strange twist of fate Biden influenced both. Furthermore, Ukraine has a recorded history of not being amenable to blacks. I’m black. So yeah… I’m sitting this one out and if Trump wants to be a useful idiot advocating for defunding both I’m not going to say anything about it either way. Don’t support Trump but also don’t see the need to say anything bad about him in this instance either. Bottom line is Trump is just not feeling getting involved in needless wars. Neither am I. He’s not feeling sending money to other nation states when we have our own problems like homelessness. So do I. There’s plenty to disagree with Trump on but for me it’s none of those issues. That’s what makes being a registered independent value. I’m not required to blindly follow the cult culture of either party. It would be prudent for Biden to own up to his part in voting for the ill begotten Iraqi war which led to other nations going on high alert regarding the United States. “Fool me once it’s on me, fool me twice…” well let’s just say we can do better this time around and the Palestinians deserve so much more! Over 12,000 United States soldiers died in the Iraqi war. Over 12,000 children have died as a result of Israel committing genocide against Palestinians. That’s a high cost for fooling the American people twice! It’s time for Biden to repent and change his ways. Not another innocent Palestinian child’s life ought to be lost. I look back at Hitler’s time and wonder how the Germans sat by idly watching him commit atrocities. Future generations ought to have the opportunity to look back upon my time and say, “I’m proud of Catina speaking up about the genocide of Palestinians.” Why was it so hard for the germans to speak out against Hitler early on? Why is it so hard for Americans to speak against Biden’s support for Netanyahu today?
