I saw this republished article from AP by Becky Bohrer in my local Murdoch-owned newspaper, the Sacramento Bee.
I know, why bother giving her any attention. But the pity party she is having is ironically funny.
It's actually somewhat old news now - but a bunch of Sarah's emails (many thousands of them) were released yesterday (and last year in part), after hundreds of requests under the Freedom of Information Act. The claim is that the three-year delay is attributed to the sheer volume of the emails.
Sarah claims, in her self-centered victim status, "many frivolous suits and charges since the DAY I became VP candidate." Sarah the quitter played like she would run for President, taking in enormous amounts of money, becoming a Fox News toadie - and once again, quit playing it up and said she would instead, "dedicate herself to God, family, and Country". And where did all that money go?
As it turns out, poor poor Sarah had to provide her own defense for her actions as Governor of Alaska - before she quit the job. She complains that the 150 or so requests for information cost Alaska a million dollars or so. Defense costs to Sarah & family run in the range of half a million dollars or so. And poor Todd! Had to go back to work to help pay for it. Sarah thinks that because she is responding to questions during her short term as quitter-governor, that the State of Alaska should foot the bill for her. Her comment was, "This is unheard of anywhere else". Poor poor Sarah!
In response to the many ethics complaints filed against Caribou Barbie, a couple of those emails show her saying, "Unflippinbelievable... I'm sending this because you can relate to the bullcrap continuation of the hell these people put the family through", and, "I can't take it anymore".
The article finishes with this one -
In a Sept. 26, 2007, email to Kris Perry and her husband Todd, titled "Marital Problems," Palin writes: "So speaking of... If we, er, when we get a divorce, does that quell "conflict of interest" accusations about BP?" Her husband was a former BP employee on the North Slope. Sarah was very worried about the whole BP thing being attached to her.
So now, Sarah hints that she might be a good pick in a "Brokered Convention" to become the Republican nominee. Now that all this information has been released, I don't see the Republican power brokers being all that interested in a Sarah ticket. There is a ton of juicy information to use against her should she make the attempt.
Poor, poor victim Sarah.
