After a particularly nasty day at work with lots of unresolved and un-reconciled issues, the individual anger addict will lash out at his/her spouse and offspring, or safer yet, indulges in kicking the family dog, or engage in otherwise (self)destructive and self-defeating behaviors without coming to any constructive or acceptable solution.
This is the quintessence of inappropriate anger behavior.
I am not medical professional and certainly no psychologist or psychiatrist, but having voluntarily gone through extensive anger-management training/therapy myself, I do see distinct commonalities between the behaviors of hopeless anger-addicts and the way the American electorate commonly carries itself.
