So, just a few minutes ago, I received the following in my email from Montana Senator, Steve Daines:
Yesterday, Senate Democrats blocked an up or down vote on the President's deal with Iran. In doing so they essentially green lighted the President's nuclear agreement with Iran, which puts global security at even greater risk of Iranian-backed terror.
In a recent survey conducted, 60% of Montanans oppose the Iran nuclear deal. I stand with the majority of Montanans in strong opposition to this deal - which sets Iran, the world's leading state sponsor of terror, on a path to obtaining a nuclear weapon.
At the very least, the American people deserve to have an up or down vote on one of the most consequential issues facing our nation. Senate Democrats are blocking the voice of the American people by failing to allow a vote on the President's deal with Iran.
Let us not forget that just a few short months ago, the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act passed the U.S. Senate on a bipartisan vote of 98 to 1. Yesterday's vote proves that Democrats are once again bowing to the will of President Obama and providing him a victory on a deal that weakens our global security and gives Iran the tools needed to obtain a nuclear weapon.
There is bipartisan opposition to this deal - Democrats and Republicans joining together with the majority of Americans. Yet, support for the deal is only partisan. It is a mistake to not push for a better deal that can be supported by more than just one segment of one political party.
As always, I encourage you to contact my office to express your concerns or opinions on policy issues important to you. It is my number one priority in Congress to represent the values and interests of the people of Montana, and your input is very helpful as I do. I also invite you to visit my website, http://www.daines.senate.gov, so we can stay in close touch.
Below the fold, all the words I could muster for the above idiocy.
