Mother's Day was this past Sunday. I hope you took a moment thank and remember a mother in your life, whether she was your own mom, your grandmother, or the woman in the next cubicle. Being a mom is hard work and we should celebrate all they do for us.
My mom lives in another state so I cannot see her all that often. She and I did talk over Skype on Sunday so we could at least see each other, even if it was over a computer screen. My mom is truly a wonderful person who has been instrumental in me getting to this point in my life. I really cannot express how much she means to me and how much I lover her. She wanted me to pass along this email she sent me about me doing the ride next month.

I am writing this letter telling everyone how I feel about Eric participating in the 545-mile AIDS/LifeCycle bike ride June 5-11 from San Francisco to Los Angeles. My first thought when he told me he wanted to do this was, “ARE YOU INSANE? Who in their right mind would want to do something like that?” Then I saw how determined diligent he was with his training and I thought, "Wow, he’s really serious about this!"
I don’t know how to express how much this young man inspires me. He knows what he believes in and he goes after it. I would like everyone to consider a donation to support him so he can reach his goal. We can get rid of this horrible disease.
I know that when I found out he was gay my whole life fell apart, I feared the worst for him. But now I see what he has done with his life and what he wants to accomplish. He has become a stronger person. There is no mountain too high that cannot be conquered. I am proud of him.
With every ones help, AIDS can be conquered also. Please help with a donation!

Thank you mom! I love you too!
