One grassroots strategy the Republicans are very good at is influencing TV coverage by sustained letter writing campaigns. I suppose they have an inherent advantage due to the corporate ownership of the major networks, but they also swamp the inboxes of the news media with letters of complaint every time they feel victimized, which is often. I suggest that one very easy, and potentially effective campaign that we could all do, every day, is to follow suit.
I'd say a great place to start is with the current so-called "lipstick controversy". There IS no controversy, except a nasty and dishonest McCain campaign ad, and the media have started repeating it. Jump for some links.
