Wide open prostitution, in public! On May 4th, Marketplace ran the most jaw-dropping piece of journalistic trash I've heard in a long time. Essentially, the program spewed out a song and dance that baldly lied about organic agriculture while making comparisons favorable to GMOs. The push back in the comments section of the article and audio was the strongest, most intelligent and informative I've read in a long, long time, and really did pin back NPR's ears. They earned it!
I don't know how to imbed but it's all here: http://marketplace.publicradio.org/...
As I remarked in the comments:
This article would rival Fox "News". A journalistic embarrassment. From its snarky intro, through the entire assemblage of ad hoc assumptions and erroneous conclusions, I can only sputter in amazement. I wholly concur with the preceding avalanche of criticism.
I can see this piece showing up in Jour. 101 classes across the country -- "What NOT to do!" or "How to ruin your resume!"
You might want to add your own 2c.
