Today, George Will blasted the Dems for "Tone-Deafness." Referring to Cindy Sheehan, he says:
"she is symptomatic of something that in 2008 could cause the Democratic Party a sixth loss in eight presidential elections. That something is a shrillness unlike anything heard in living memory from a major tendency within a major party."
Shrillness? I had to write back!

I guess the timing of your editorial in today's (8/25/05) Washington Post is unfortunate. Because, as you pilloried the Democrats for their tone-deafness, a former Republican candidate for President of the United States was being forced to apologize FOR ADVOCATING THE MURDER OF A WORLD LEADER!
How tone-deaf is it to explain that 9/11 was caused, not by Osama bin Laden, but by "pagans, abortionists, lesbians and gays?" Because, Mr. Will, that is what 2 of the leading forces in the evangelical movement (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Republican Party) said.
