Joe's Math simply doesn't work. First, he doesn’t own the business yet, so he isn’t being taxed for it. Second, it is very unclear whether revenue generated by his business would be $250K or his profit would be $250K. This is a BIG difference.

Update: Thanks for the comments. Everyone has made some tremendous points - from trying to ensure a big win, to the fallacies of McCain's new tact. I think we still need to be concerned, but things are bright - and I never believed they were not!

Three weeks from today the election will FINALLY be upon us. Looking at today’s polls and their relationship in history to election outcomes should make Democrats feel very confident in Barack Obama’s position to win the election. Only in 1980 when Ronald Reagan was able to make his case in the last debate on October 28th, 1980 was there such a large swing from one candidate this late in the campaign.

I am not chicken little crying that ‘the sky is falling’. However, the election is far from over and there are a lot of factors that may benefit McCain over the next couple of weeks.

For those who haven’t seen the video or news reports yet, McCain had to swallow A LOT of pride this afternoon to defend Obama. Whether McCain finally had a sense of dignity return or did it for political reasons, you know that it galled him, particularly to say ,” Obama is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared about as President of the United States.

A tremendously insightful, if not down right scary article was published today in the The Huffington Post: Obama Hatred At McCain-Palin Rallies: "Terrorist!" "Kill Him!" (VIDEO).

The gist of the article is there is some blatant hate projecting it’s self out of the McCain/Palin campaign. The concern right now isn’t whether McCain is consciously endorsing the behaviour of his audience. Rather, it’s the responsibility he has for allowing the racism, prejudice, and hatred to develop and if he’s willing to absolutely denounce the developing rhetoric.

Beyond the questions about Sarah Palin’s political, social, economic, and foreign policy intelligence, Sarah Palin looks like a maverick within the maverick campaign. It’s startling to see how Palin seems to be running wild without much of a leash from the McCain campaign.
