I went to the funeral of a friend last night. "Bob" (not his real name) was a great guy and we got along very well. We didn't speak religion but I am certain he must have known or heard of my agnosticisom because I am quite vocal about it and word has gotten around. But he always treated me with respect.
He was converting his home to solar power, which I found to be very interesting. I had read up on evacuated tube, thinking I might do it for my home and he just studied up and then did it, just like that. Where I am very methodical, he was just fearless. Now, I'm not suggesting that he was not methodical too, but I did admire the way he just went for it with both feet.
He had such an active mind and I enjoyed our discussions. He will be missed.
