Here's what I wrote:
"Congressman, I wrote to you and Congressperson Ney in 2003 when you created the Freedom Fries hoopla. At the time I told you that you were wrong to reduce the debate over war to the naming of food.
I would like to thank you for finally standing up for what is right. War is not to be taken lightly, and no one's opinion on war should be disregarded or invalidated if he is willing to engage in reasonable debate.
So, again. Thank you.
Peace."
The few Republicans who are getting a conscience should be encouraged. It's tough to stand up to the administration. Their fellow Congress people will excoriate them for trying to act like reasonable human beings.

(You can write to him, but the only option for state is North Carolina. He also has name address and phone numbers as required fields.)
