For those without video, here's the transcript:

“...he who warned, uh, the...the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms...uh, by ringin’ those bells and um...makin’ sure as he’s ridin’ his horse through town...to send those warning shots and bells...that, uh, we were gonna be secure and...and we were gonna be free...and we were gonna be armed."

The look on the reporter's face at the end is priceless.

Sarah Palin is in Boston today, meeting with supporters and other curious elements. She is also chatting about how meaningful being in such a historic region is to her on her One Nation tour. Of course, this means Sarah Palin is talking about history, and CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin, who was covering the story this afternoon, could barely contain her contempt as Palin described Paul Revere “sending those warning shots and bells” to tell Americans that “the British weren’t taking away our arms.”

Update x2: Wow. I figured this'd be shoved off the Rec list within a few hours, but holy crap!

It may amuse you to know that over at YouTube, not only has this particular version of Palin's "Paul Revere Massacre" gotten over ~~10,000~~ 18,000 viewings (there are plenty more versions which have gotten far more than that, I'm sure), but as of this writing it's at 100% Likes, which I don't think I've ever seen before on a political YouTube clip (I could be wrong).

I guess even Palin's staunchest, most idiotic supporters couldn't bring themselves to defend this one (or perhaps the "Click Thumbs Down to Dislike" instructions were to complex for them?)
