I really didn’t think Alabama would do it.
I really didn’t think humanity and common decency would win the day.
I really thought that many would be tuned out.
We’ve been close before in a Red State.
It still bothers me that it was this close, that what should have been a no brainer became a nail biter.
BUT…
I’m glad I was wrong and I will own up to that.
Doug Jones’ speech was amazing. I think he is a special guy who has done remarkable things in that state.
He deserved to win.
Congratulations to all who helped to make this possible, and
TAKE NOTES.

Money.
People.
Organization.
Education.

And also —
We have to have candidates THAT STAND FOR SOMETHING AND NOT JUST AGAINST EVERYTHING.
We know that the other side is bad. The whole world knows it.
But what are we for?
Democrats running for statewide office — please hire the team that Jones put together because that’s how you win.
Lastly, let this be a lessons learned. The way to win is not by appealing to folk who already can’t stand you — it’s by going after folk who don’t typically vote. The voter turnout in the countries that carried Jones were double the estimates and in some instances, higher than what came out for the 2016 Presidential election, so I’m hearing.
