An all-girls Catholic school in Maryland announced last week that they fired a teacher and coach in October, after it was discovered that he was living a double life as an agent of the alt-right. Greg Conte had been working as a substitute teacher and field hockey coach at Kensington’s Academy of the Holy Cross since at least 2014 before anyone there noticed he’s a white supremacist. And by “anyone,” it’s worth noting that we mean “the students.”
Kathleen Ryan Prebble, president of the Academy of the Holy Cross high school, wrote to parents on Thursday that Greg Conte was fired "immediately" after students discovered on social media that Conte was "a member of the 'alt-right' movement" under an "alternate identity."
Conte wasn’t hiding that hard, though. He can even be found wearing his best blazer in footage of August’s deadly Charlottesville protest.
BuzzFeed notes that Conte became the Director of Operations for Richard Spencer’s hateful think tank, the National Policy Institute, just this past August. The NPI describes itself as "dedicated to the heritage, identity, and future of people of European descent in the United States and around the world.” Conte also has served as brute security for Spencer, who sings his praises.
“I don’t know what would have happened to me in Charlottesville, or the alt right as a whole, without Greg,” Spencer said in a recent podcast. “Greg protected me as we fled the melee.”
And Spencer and his followers are absolutely tickled that Conte smoked a cigar in his interviews, because a smoking pacifier apparently makes white supremacists seem cooler to other white supremacists.
Below is a GIF of Spencer getting punched when Conte wasn’t around, just as a quick palate cleanser before we dive into the weird world of this Conte fellow. Because we all deserve nice things.
While he maintains that he’s always been open about being “pro-Trump and pro-Putin” in a now-deleted interview with WJLA/ABC 7, Conte has been far more open about his vision for a better America since October—including offering his support of candidates who can get that job done, even if they prey on teenage girls (like the ones he used to teach and coach).
Who wouldn’t want this guy near their daughters?
It’s no surprise that Conte chose to hide his love of Hitler and white supremacy, much less that he got fired when he was found out: The school itself touts its commitment to diversity on its website, and even has a “social justice” volunteer service graduation requirement.
We believe that experiencing an intellectually, economically, and ethnically diverse community is necessary in the creation of tolerant individuals who will work for justice.
And Conte is far from that. He doesn’t just wear plaid button-downs under striped rugby shirts. He’s not just a Trump supporter. He’s not just a bigot. He’s also a red-pill woman hater who’s not afraid to offer advice to his followers.
From a (now deleted) blog about getting white women to vote for Trump in 2016:
We are now engaged in a society-wide act of seduction. Convincing your girlfriend or wife is not nearly enough. There are too many cucks out there, and too many single sluts. We have to make a mass-effort. The flocks of manless women need a shitlord to be like a shepherd onto them.
Be publicly and obsequiously pro-Trump. Saturate the public sphere. The endgame is not getting laid. The stakes are way higher. We must reassert control over our societies if we are to ensure our collective survival. Convincing our women is the next step.
Once we take back our women, the alt-right will have control of the political landscape.
His thoughts on lady morals and female intelligence must surely jibe well with an all-girls school dedicated to educating the next generation of badass women:
Genius is impossible for the woman, because she does not have reason, which makes her non-moral.
Conte also has some interesting responses to terror attacks, like the 2016 shooting in Bavaria that he regrettably “just missed” on his Race Tour 2016, wherein he spent his summer break touring Europe and blogging terribly about it.
I feel no sympathy for the victims of this (unless they were righteous racists).
Despite his skilled whataboutism when asked about whether or not Hitler should be condemned, Conte clearly disagrees with the choice to fire him, and is unapologetic about his alt-right nonsense. From the full WJLA interview, which has since been removed from the site after drawing praise from the alt-right:
“What do you say to those parents who are upset that you were teaching...with some of these beliefs that they don’t agree with?”
”You should have stood up for me. I am a son of your people. I am one of you, and I’ve expressed a slightly out of normal position political opinion, and you are throwing me by the wayside for it, and this is why your political system is going to fail.”
Good riddance.
