Saudi Arabia. Russia. Philippines. North Korea.
If you are a Right Wing Dictator who loves killing his POLITICAL OPPONENTS,
then Donald Trump wants to have your babies.
OR BE YOUR BABY. WHATEVER.
Beyond the Saudi war on Yemen—
In Extraordinary Statement, Trump Stands With Saudis Despite Khashoggi Killing
In a remarkable statement that appeared calculated to end the debate over the American response to the murder of Mr. Khashoggi, Mr. Trump said, “It could very well be that the crown prince had knowledge of this tragic event — maybe he did and maybe he didn’t!”
“We may never know all of the facts surrounding the murder of Mr. Jamal Khashoggi,” the president continued. “In any case, our relationship is with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
Still, in its 631 words in eight paragraphs, punctuated by seven exclamation points and a casual style that sounded like Mr. Trump’s off-the-cuff musings, the statement was a cogent summary of the Trump worldview: remorselessly transactional, heedless of allies, determined to put America’s interests first and founded on a theory of moral equivalence. www.nytimes.com/...
Beyond the Russia’s fighting in Ukraine—
Putin is ‘probably’ involved in assassinations and poisonings,
but ‘it’s not in our country,’ Trump says.
“Probably he is, yeah. Probably,” Trump told CBS’s Lesley Stahl
when asked during an interview on “60 Minutes” whether he thinks Putin is involved “in assassinations, in poisonings.”
“But I rely on them; it’s not in our country,” Trump added.
A long line of Russian dissidents, journalists and others critical of Putin have been poisoned or died under mysterious circumstances; in one of the most recent cases, Sergei Skripal, a former Russian spy, and his daughter were poisoned in Britain, allegedly by Russian operatives. Russia denies any involvement in the attack. www.washingtonpost.com/…
Including the Philippines war on its own drug users
Trump praises Duterte's deadly drug war
"I just wanted to congratulate you because I am hearing of the
unbelievable job on the drug problem," Trump said in the April 29 phone call, according to a leaked transcript of the conversation with Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte published by the Intercept and also obtained by The Washington Post and The New York Times."Many countries have the problem, we have a problem, but what a great job you are doing and I just wanted to call and tell you that..."
"Any assertion by any world leader, including, US President Donald Trump, that Duterte is doing 'an unbelievable job' by cheerleading a murderous campaign that has killed more than 7,000 Filipinos is not only a gross insult to those victims and their family members, but sends a signal to Duterte and his willing executioners that their lawless killing spree can continue with a vengeance without fear of international criticism and repercussions," said Phelim Kline of Human Rights Watch. www.cnn.com/...
Beyond North Korea’s war on it’s citizens—
KIM JONG UN’S ASSASSINATED HALF-BROTHER KNEW HIS LIFE WAS IN DANGER MONTHS BEFORE DEATH
His assassination is believed to have been ordered by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in order to remove any potential alternatives to his leadership. The New York Timesreported that there had been a standing order to kill Kim Jong Nam since his half-brother took control of North Korea in 2011.
Living in exile in Macau, China, under the protection of the
Chinese government, Kim Jong Nam had previously survived other assassination attempts. In 2012, he reportedly sent his Kim Jong Un a letter begging for his life, the Times quoted Lee Byung-ho, the director of the South’s National Intelligence Service, as saying.
Trump wishes he could be a real killer, too
WOULD REPUBLICANS LET TRUMP GET AWAY WITH MURDER?
That Congress has followed Trump this far down the rabbit hole suggests that its standard for impeachment may have become insurmountably high—that even if Mueller finds fault in the president or his campaign, those who have the power to hold him accountable may not act. “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and wouldn’t lose any voters,” then candidate Trump said during a January 2016 campaign rally in Iowa. “It’s, like, incredible.” More than two years later, with his popularity among Republicans all but negating traditional checks and balances, his claim may prove oddly prescient. www.vanityfair.com/...
This was not the diary I was going to use yesterday. I have a lovely, erudite piece on gerrymandering, NC, and the state of our union. Sigh.
But the lying, cheating, racist, sexist, mentally and emotionally unstable Russian puppet who lives in the White House part-time just let another world leader and first class murderer off the hook in return for money in his own pocket. Again.
This must be called out. Again.
